System and methods for isolation of collagen and other fibrous tissue from adipose tissue are described herein. The method of the present invention isolates the collagen from adipose tissue by sonication. The tissue to be sonicated is placed in a container or a flow cell transparent to ultrasound waves. After sonication the sonicated material is filtered out through the bottom of the flow cell and the sonicated collagen is trapped in the filter, which may be taken for further processing. The isolated collagen can then be combined with a suitable carrier for re-injection to correct various tissue defects such as wrinkles, to form a carrier for the stem cells, a filler, and matrix for new collagen production by injecting into the desired area of the host.

An orthodontic anchor having a stem with a connecting portion and an emerging portion secured respectively to the ends thereof. The connecting portion is connected to bone by screws disposed in angled apertures and a cap envelops the emerging portion. The present disclosure provides for a midface distraction system which includes a cannulated distraction rod having a socket disposed adjacent a first end, and a threaded portion disposed between the socket and a second end of the rod. The midface distraction system may further include a cannulated malar pin having a flange at a first end and a second end configured to form a moveable coupling between the cannulated malar pin and the socket.

A device for maxillary jawbone and dentition expansion and/or retraction is configured for mounting within the mouth and connects the right and left halves of the skull. The maxillary distraction device includes at least two implantable anchors configured to be implanted in the maxillary bones of the skull on opposite sides of a midline of the skull. A facebow having two posterior ends is connectable to the implantable anchors and is configured to extend from the maxillary regions entirely within the mouth across the midline of the skull. The facebow has at least one expandable section for bone lengthening. The facebow is connected to the anchors and is lengthen periodically to lengthen the maxillary bones. The facebow may provide horizontal, vertical, and transverse distraction.

A distraction device for osteosynthesis includes a first member which is telescopically housed within a second member. The first and second members are attached to first and second bone segments, respectively. The device includes a ratchet wheel having teeth which engage teeth of the first member. Rotation of the ratchet wheel cause the first member to telescopically extend from its second member housing in an arcuate path.
