The invention relates to a method for preparing acrylic acid by oxidizing propylene and then acrolein, involving the recycling of gases that had not reacted by means of a partial oxidation of the propane, in parallel, at the end of the acrylic acid recovery step, then returning, to the propylene-converting reactor, a gas rich in both propane and propylene having been subjected to a second passage in the acrylic acid recovery column.

Process for the preparation of acrylic acid comprising a partial oxidation of propane to propylene

The invention concerns the production of acrylic acid from propane in the presence of molecular oxygen. Said method consists in passing a gas mixture comprising propane, molecular oxygen, water vapour and, optionally, an inert gas, on a catalyst of formula (I) MoVTeNbSiOto oxidize propane into acrylic acid, the propane/molecular oxygen mol ratio in the initial gas mixture being not less than 0.5.

Method for the production of acrylic acid from propane, in the presence of molecular oxygen

The invention concerns a method for producing acrylic acid from propane, which consists in passing a gas mixture including propane, water, vapor, and optionally an inert gas and/or molecular oxygen, on a catalyst of formula (I): MoVSbNbSiO, wherein: a ranges between 0.006 and 1, inclusively; b ranges between 0.006 and 1, inclusively; c ranges between 0.006 and 1, inclusively; d ranges between 0 and 3.5, inclusively; and x is the amount of oxygen bound to the other elements and depends on their state of oxidation, for oxidizing propane into acrylic acid, and which is carried out in the presence of molecular oxygen, the propane/molecular oxygen mol ratio in the initial gas mixture is not less than 0.5.

Process for the production of acrylic acid from propane

The invention concerns a method for producing acrylic acid from propane in the absence of molecular oxygen. Said method is characterized in that it consists in passing a gas mixture free of molecular oxygen and comprising propane, water vapour, as well as, optionally, an inert gas, over a catalyst including molybdenum, vanadium, tellurium, oxygen and at least another element X selected among niobium, tantalum, tungsten, titanium, aluminium, zirconium, chromium, manganese, iron, ruthenium, cobalt, rhodium, nickel, palladium, platinum, antimony, bismuth, boron, indium and cerium, and on a co-catalyst of formula (II): MoBiFeCoNiKSbTiSiCaNbTePbWCu. The invention also concerns a solid catalytic composition comprising said catalyst and co-catalyst and the use of said composition for producing acrylic acid from propane.
