A heat exchanger for cooling intake air with a coolant is provided with a shell and first and second front faces, wherein one of the front faces is an inlet and the other an outlet for intake air. The shell has at least one coupling element disposed along a circumferential line of the shell that is spaced apart from the first front face by a predetermined distance. The shell has a port as an inlet or outlet for the coolant. The port is arranged at a spacing from the first front face. The spacing is larger than the predetermined distance. The shell has an insertion section between first front face and circumferential line. The shell has an internal duct system connected to the port for guiding the coolant into the insertion section. The coupling element can fixedly couple with at least one corresponding coupling element of an air duct.

A control valve unit for a liquid circuit of an internal combustion engine, includes a valve housing () having at least one inlet opening () or outlet opening (') and at least two outlet openings () or inlet openings (&#x2032;) and at least two closing elements () actuated by a control device (). The closing elements selectively open or close an associated outlet or inlet opening. The closing elements may be continuously adjusted between maximum open and closed positions. The control device () includes at least one displaceable or rotatable cam () and includes at least two cam tracks (), each of which is assigned to a closing element () and acts on at least one driving pin () that is in contact with said closing element (). The cams () are adjusted by an actuator ().

Control valve unit for a liquid circuit

Disclosed is a method and apparatus for positioning and assembly of two or more parts wherein at least one of which is of a creep sensitive material. The method and apparatus enable very precise positioning of parts during assembly by holding a rough alignment with free play permitting finer alignment. Creep resistant annular inserts are molded into the part and provided with flow apertures to conduct plastic material into the annular insert bore. A spindle defined the geometry of a centering hole within the bore during molding. The annular inserts are operable as compression limiters to prevent deformation of the creep sensitive material under the action of heat or tightening stresses.
