The application comprises a mechanism for transformation of the movement in rotation by a tool of an interface part housed in the casing of a connector into movement in translation in a plane perpendicular to the coupling direction of a locking cap for locking the casing of the connector to that of a complementary connector.

The present invention relates to a multicontact connector comprising: a connector body presenting front and rear faces and including at least one cavity extending between the front and rear faces and opening out therein; at least one insert arranged to receive contact elements, in particular electrical or optical contact elements; and at least one retention member arranged to retain the insert in the cavity of the connector body, the retention member comprising at least one elastically deformable tab movable between a locking position preventing the insert from being withdrawn from the cavity and a retracted position enabling the insert to be withdrawn from the cavity, in particular via the rear face of the connector body, the tab having at least two bearing faces, one of which is arranged in such a manner that a force applied thereagainst and directed towards the front face of the body of the connector causes the tabs to be retracted, and another one of which is arranged in such a manner that a force applied thereagainst and directed towards the rear face of the body of the connector causes said tabs to retract.

Multicontact connector

A multi-contact connector case may be configured on a support. The case may include a case body including at least one fastener portion configured to co-operate with the support when the case is mounted on the support; at least one bolt element movable relative to the case body between an unlocked position and a locked position in which the bolt element presses against the support when the case is mounted on the support, the bolt element moving closer to the fastener portion of the case body on passing from the unlocked position toward the locked position; and at least one resilient return member configured to move the bolt element from the unlocked position toward the locked position, the bolt element including at least one elastically deformable tab configured to press against a first abutment of the case body when the bolt element is in the unlocked position.

Multi-contact connector

A multi-contact connector may include: a case body including a cable-attachment portion configured to enable cables to be attached to the portion, preferably using an attachment piece that is distinct from the case body, for example, a conductive or insulating collar. The attachment portion may project from a rear of the case body and preferably includes a cross-section that is substantially U-shaped. Electrical contact elements may be mounted in the connector, the contact elements being connected to cables, wherein the cables are secured to the cable-attachment portion of the case body by a clamping fitting such as a collar. The case may be deprived of a shielding cap.

A connection assembly includes a first case and a second case. The first case includes locking zones and a series of teeth perpendicular to an axis and regularly spaced apart. The second case is assembled with the first case, and includes a body and a locking cap movable relative to the body perpendicular to the axis between unlocked and locked position.
