Use of at least one compound of formula (I): (I) [P(R—Y—R)]zXz- is described for enhancing the injectivity of an injection well, wherein: Y is chosen from an oxygen atom or an NH group; Ris a linear or branched alkyl radical having from 1 to 15 carbon atoms; Ris chosen from a hydrogen atom or a linear or branched alkyl radical having from 1 to 14 carbon atoms; Xz- is a monovalent anion or a divalent anion, or a trivalent anion, or a tetravalent anion group; z is a number from 1 to 4. The compound of formula (I) is added to an aqueous medium to form an injection stream which is injected into a subterranean formation which comprises at least one polymer, via said injection well.

A water injection flow control device includes a stack of discs or cone-like plates that form spiral-shaped flow conduits. The spiral-shaped flow conduits form at least one revolution about a central point or axis and depart or approach the central point or axis for each revolution. At least some of the spiral-shaped flow conduits have sections in series with alternating cross sectional area for flow and at least some have sections with a serpentine-type shape for flow along the spiral-shaped flow conduits. The spiral-shaped flow conduits have an inlet coupled to an inner or outer end of the spiral shaped flow conduits, an outlet coupled to the other end of the spiral-shaped conduits, and a control member.

Polymer flow control device

A flow rate control valve and a method for injecting a fluid into an underground formation are provided. In accordance with the method, the fluid is transported in at least one injection pipe. The injection pipe has a main portion including a single tube. The flow rate control valve has at least ten fluid transport tubes that are arranged in parallel. A ratio of the cross-section of the main portion over the sum of the cross-sections of the fluid transport tubes is less than or equal to 5. A flow rate of the fluid circulating in the injection pipe is adjusted by distributing the fluid through all or only some of the fluid transport tubes. The fluid from the injection pipe is then injected into the underground formation.
