A multipolar electrical protection system including a plurality of devices for switching an electric current. Each switching device has a plurality of compartments each comprising an extinguishing chamber and a pair of separable electrical contacts that are connected to upstream and downstream connection terminals, the separable electrical contacts being movable between open and closed positions under the action of a tripping device. The switching devices are separate from one another, while the upstream terminals of each device are connected by a first connector in order to keep them at one and the same electrical potential and the downstream terminals of each device are connected by a second connector in order to keep them at one and the same electrical potential. The switching devices are controlled by one and the same common tripping device.

This limiter pole (B) for a multipole DC electrical switch () comprises a compartment in which an input terminal and an output terminal for a direct electric current are provided, along with a first electrical contact connected to the input terminal and a second electrical contact connected to the output terminal, third and fourth electrical contacts connected to one another in series, the third and fourth contacts being capable of being moved simultaneously relative to the first and second electrical contacts, respectively, between a closed position, in which the first and third contacts and the second and fourth contacts make contact with one another so as to allow the direct electric current to flow between the input terminal and the output terminal, and an open position, in which said contacts are located away from one another, interrupting the flow of the current between the input terminal and the output terminal. The limiter pole (B) comprises a first electric arc formation chamber in which the first and third electrical contacts are placed, a second electric arc formation chamber in which the second and fourth electrical contacts are placed, and first and second electric arc extinguishing chambers which are associated with the first and second electric arc formation chambers, respectively.

A DC electrical circuit breaker includes first and second movable electrical contacts. The circuit breaker includes a magnetic circuit including a magnet and generating a magnetic field able to guide an electrical arc in the direction of a quenching chamber, and having for this purpose curved field lines extending perpendicularly to opposite lateral walls of an electrical arc formation chamber, these field lines converging, in a central region of the arc formation chamber containing the contact zones, toward the quenching chamber while extending parallel to the longitudinal plane.

DC electrical circuit breaker

This electrical circuit breaker includes at least one first fixed land, a support assembly equipped with at least one second land rotationally mobile, about a main axis, between a first position in which the second land is in contact with the first land and a second position in which the second land is separated from the first land and an arc-extinguishing chamber including a stacking of plates, a top arc-guiding horn, a bottom arc-guiding horn, equipped with at least one tab and a screen made of insulating material surrounding the bottom arc-guiding horn. The circuit breaker also includes two protuberances produced in a gas-producing material, which are mounted on the screen, arranged between the bottom horn and the top arc-guiding horn and facing the tab of the bottom arc-guiding horn, the protuberances having a prismatic or pseudo-prismatic form.
