A powder injection molding apparatus including an injection unit, mold formed of two mold parts with parting surface between first and second mold part, enclosing in assembled state of mold a mold cavity fluidically connected with injection unit via transfer channel, vibrational energy generator and transducer, and clamping unit designed to retain under the effect of clamping force first and second mold parts in contact with each other. Apparatus is characterized in that first and second mold parts include a first and second retaining hole, respectively, each extending essentially perpendicularly to parting surface and arranged opposite to each other respective to parting surface, clamping unit includes first and second pin each extending essentially perpendicularly to parting surface, wherein first and second pins cooperate in assembled state of mold with retaining portion of first and second retaining holes, respectively, to retain first and second mold parts in contact with each other.

Powder injection molding apparatus

Dental implant having a socket arrangement having the shape of a regular octagon which is partly interrupted by outwardly extending notches being parallel or parallel and partly inclined with respect to the longitudinal center axis of the implant, the inclination being such as to taper inwardly from their coronal end, wherein interrupting and outwardly extending ridges extending from the notches in an apical direction of the dental implant, first contact surfaces being adapted to engage and rotationally secure an abutment, and wherein second contact surfaces extend from the notches within the ridges in the direction of the longitudinal center axis, the second contact surfaces being adapted to engage with an insertion tool; and wherein the notches are positioned at sides or at corners of the regular octagon.

Dental implant socket arrangement

The shank () of a disposable rotary cutting tool () comprises a pipe section () cut from a drawn metal pipe. The tool head () is formed from a cut-out () of a drawn metal sheet or a section of a metal tube by non-cutting machining. The pipe section () and the tool head () are advantageously attached by force fitting.

Method for manufacturing disposable rotary cutting tools and disposable rotary tool for dental or medical applications

A threaded dental implant to be screwed into a jawbone for supporting at least one abutment and/or a dental superstructure, and having a socket arrangement with a first section and a second section with respective geometrical profiles around a longitudinal center axis of the implant. The first section cooperates with the abutment for securing the abutment in a determined position in the implant. The second section cooperates with an insertion tool for screwing the implant into the jawbone. The first section includes an annular coronal contact surface on top of an opening centric at a coronal end of the implant, followed in an apical direction by a first tapered section having a diameter decreasing in the apical direction, by a first cylindrical section, by first anti-rotational elements and by a threaded section.

Secondary component for connection to a dental implant having an internal bore, said secondary component having a head part and a base part, the head part including a coronal portion which in use protrudes from the dental implant, and, apical of the coronal portion, an attachment portion, the base part including implant connection means for connection to an implant and fastening means, wherein the attachment portion and fastening means can be directly coupled together in a rotatable manner in order to axially join the head and base parts together, while still enabling the base part to be rotated relative to the head part such that the implant connection means can engage the implant and secure the secondary component to this, the head part further including a through passage extending from the coronal portion to the attachment portion and the base part including drive means which, when the head and base parts are coupled together, is in communication with this passage.

Two-part dental component

Surgical tool for use in guided surgery having a distal end portion having a functional element, a shank on the opposite end of the tool, and a substantially circular cylindrical guide portion. The guide portion is located between the functional element and the shank and has at least one visual marker. The at least one marker has at least one recess which is finite in the circumferential direction such that, at the axial location of the recess a section of guide portion having outer radius r is maintained.

The transfer element () includes an adapter segment () for holding the medical instrument or implant and for attaching the transfer element () to a housing of a container, and also a means for handling the medical instrument or the implant by hand and/or with the aid of an auxiliary tool, and, optionally, a holder segment () arranged on the first end () and connected to the adapter segment (). The adapter segment () has an adapter end region () for detachably holding the medical instrument or implant and a connection section (). The connection section () has connection means that are intended to interact with corresponding connection means of the housing. The means for handling the medical instrument or implant by hand and/or by means of an auxiliary tool are arranged on the connection section () and/or, optionally, on the holder segment ().
