This avalanche triggering system includes a portable unit configured to be carried by an operator, the portable unit comprising a gas storage device configured to store an oxidizing gas and a combustible gas; an explosion unit which is configured to be launched by the operator or to be transported by a drone and which includes a flexible envelope configured to be filled with an explosive gas mixture, the flexible envelope being deformable between a rest configuration in which the flexible envelope has a first inner volume and an inflated configuration in which the flexible envelope has a second inner volume which is greater than the first inner volume, the explosion unit further including an ignition device configured to trigger the explosion of the explosive gas mixture contained in the flexible envelope; and a control unit configured to remotely control the ignition device.

Avalanche triggering system

A roadway widening structure including a first portion configured to bear on a support and configured to support a first part of the roadway, the first portion including a frame which has a parallelepiped shape and which includes an enclosure having a parallelepiped shape and configured to receive ballast so as to immobilize the first portion on the support, a lower enclosure wall of the enclosure including a first lattice, a second portion cantilevered, secured to the first portion by a lateral wall and configured to support a second part of the roadway, a lateral enclosure wall of the enclosure, facing the second portion of the roadway widening structure, including a second lattice, and for fastening the first portion and the second portion.

Said device comprises a tube (), one closed end of which is mounted onto a holder (), for example a concrete mass (), that is itself attached to a mountainside (). The other open end () of said tube is rotated toward the snow cover (). The device also comprises a means () for filling the tube () with an explosive gas mixture and moreover comprises a priming means that induces the explosion of said mixture. Said device is characterized in that it comprises at least two beams () that, each being attached by one of the ends thereof to the holder (), extends along the tube () parallel thereto so as to ensure the holding thereof while forming a means for absorbing the movement of the tube () following the gas mixture explosion.

Avalanche-inducing device

The invention relates to an avalanche triggering device comprising at least one enclosure () for confining an explosive gas mixture, having a downward-facing opening and being equipped with gas supply means () designed to at least partly fill the volume defined by the enclosure () with the explosive gas mixture at a density less than that of the air, the device also comprising means () for igniting this mixture; which device is characterized in that the enclosure () is in the general shape of a bell or frustoconical shape with an approximately vertical axis.
