The invention relates to a method for configuring a quality of service by way of a gateway including an interface on a local area network and an interface on a wide area network for a terminal of the local area network to access the wide area network, following the reception, by the gateway, of a network discovery message transmitted by the terminal, the method being noteworthy in that it comprises the steps of associating at least one address of the gateway on the local area network with a particular quality of service setting of the gateway, sending a network attachment offer message to the terminal, the message comprising at least one address of the gateway associated with a particular setting of the quality of service, and, upon reception of a message from the terminal and destined for an address of the gateway, processing the packet according to the setting associated with the destination address of the message. The invention correspondingly relates to a method for negotiating a quality of service on a terminal.

Method for negotiating a quality of service offered by a gateway to terminals

A method is proposed for configuring a terminal by using a server in an IMS communication network. The method includes: receiving an SIP registration message from a terminal, the registration message having at least one parameter relating to the access network, obtaining a configuration from the parameter relating to the access network included in the registration message received, and transmitting to the terminal a response to the registration message, the message having the configuration obtained from the parameter relating to the access network. Correlatively, a method is proposed for obtaining a configuration on a terminal.

Method for configuring a terminal

A method and a proxy server for selecting an input server of an IMS communication network in order to register a terminal in the IMS communication network. Following receipt from the terminal of an SIP registration message, the proxy server obtains a value of at least one field of the SIP registration message, the field being representative of a characteristic belonging to the terminal, and selects an input server using the at least one value obtained. Then, the proxy server sends, to the terminal, an SIP redirection message including an IP address of the selected input server.

Method and server for selecting an entry server of an IMS communication network

A method and a device for supplying location information to an apparatus connected to a network access point. The a method is implemented by a network access point, which is capable of providing the apparatus with access to a communication network to which the access point is connected when the apparatus is connected to a local network of the network access point. The network access point obtains, from a server of the communication network, information on the location of the network access point, the location information being location information certified by the operator of the communication network. The network access point receives, from the apparatus, a request for location information and sends the certified location information obtained to the apparatus.
