A high-pressure fuel pump has a pressure-limiting valve, which fluidically connects a high-pressure region to a low-pressure region and opens towards the low-pressure region. The pressure-limiting valve is disposed in a pressure-limiting valve bore, which is designed as a through bore through the pump body, extends from a damping region to a stepped chamber, and is closed on the side facing the damping region by a pressed-in closure. The pressure-limiting valve bore is a stepped bore having a larger diameter first portion, a smaller diameter second portion, and an annular step between the first and second portions The pressure-limiting valve has a valve seat body pressed into the pressure-limiting valve bore, and a valve element, which is pushed in the closing direction by a holding element, which is pushed in the closing direction by a spiral spring, which is supported on the annular step.

A high-pressure fuel pump has an inlet valve and a pressure-limiting valve which fluidically connects a high-pressure region to an inlet valve region located, in terms of geometry, between the inlet valve and an electromagnetic actuator of the high-pressure fuel pump, which acts upon the inlet valve via a tappet.

Three-way valve with a valve housing and a closing body arranged in a longitudinally movable manner in the valve housing. An inlet channel, a first outlet channel and a second outlet channel are formed in the valve housing. The closing body interacts by longitudinal movement with a first valve seat formed in the valve housing and thereby opens and closes a first hydraulic connection between the inlet channel and the first outlet channel. Furthermore, the closing body interacts by longitudinal movement with a second valve seat formed in the valve housing and thereby opens and closes a second hydraulic connection between the inlet channel and the second outlet channel. A throttle is formed in the second hydraulic connection.

Slide valve for a waste heat recovery system

Proposed is a fuel injector for injecting fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine. The fuel injector has a housing in which are arranged an injection valve element with a nozzle needle, a pressure boosting device, and a first control valve, and a second control valve. The first control valve controls a control space of the nozzle needle and the second control valve controls a differential pressure space of the pressure boosting device. A first return flow connection is provided for discharging the control quantity of the control space of the nozzle needle, and a second return flow connection is provided for discharging the control quantity of the pressure boosting device. The two return flow connections are arranged on different housing parts of the housing.

Fuel injector with an integrated pressure booster

The invention relates to a fuel injector for injecting fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, which fuel injector comprises an injection valve element, for opening and closing at least one injection opening and a pressure booster, by way of which fuel which is at system pressure is compressed to injection pressure. The pressure booster is actuated via a first control valve and the injection valve element is actuated via a second control valve. The pressure booster comprises a pressure booster piston which is assigned a spring element which is supported by way of one side on the injector housing and by way of the other side on the pressure booster piston. The pressure booster piston delimits a compression chamber, a differential pressure chamber and a control chamber. The control chamber is arranged at that end of the pressure booster piston which lies opposite the compression chamber, the spring element is received in the control chamber, and the spring element is supported on one side on the injector housing and on the other side on the pressure booster piston.

A fuel injector is disclosed in which at least one electrically-controlled valve is arranged within an injector body and is connected to an injector body contact which is accessible from outside the injector body by at least one solid conductor having an essentially stable form under the influence of its intrinsic weight. The at least one solid conductor is run through at least one conductor channel and at least one alignment sleeve which may be completely or partly inserted in the at least one conductor channel and forces the at least one solid conductor completely or partly to adopt a given inclination to the injector axis and hence aligns the same.

A fuel injector with an injector body is disclosed which has at least two separate function units that are largely independent of one another. The function units are reversibly joined to one another by a connecting element and at least one positioning pin. The two function units can be produced and tested separately, which greatly simplifies both the production process and maintenance of the fuel injectors and lessens the vulnerability of the fuel injectors to malfunction.

A fuel injection device, which has: a nozzle needle, guided displaceably in a nozzle body, which as a function of its position opens or closes at least one injection opening, in which a control chamber, to which fuel can be delivered under pressure via an inlet throttle and from which fuel can be diverted, controlled by a control valve, via an outlet throttle, is provided at a piston face of the nozzle needle facing away from the injection opening, and in which in operation, the position of the nozzle needle is controlled by a pressure difference between the pressure in the control chamber and the pressure of the fuel at the end, toward the injection opening, of the nozzle needle, is characterized in that the nozzle needle is surrounded, over at least part of its length, during operation by fuel at high pressure, such that only in the regions of the nozzle needle near the injection opening and in the control chamber can a lower pressure, differing from the high fuel pressure, occur.
