A gluing station for applying glue to product elements guided in a product stream is intended to permit continuation of the production process and gluing of the product elements in a particularly simple and reliable manner even after a temporary machine stop or production standstill. For this purpose, according to the invention, a moistening system is assigned to a glue application roller that can roll on the product stream. During operation of the gluing station, in the event of a stopped product stream, the glue application roller is pivoted away from the product stream and the transfer roller for the duration of the standstill and is kept rotating, whereby the surface of the glue application roller is moistened.

A suction roller for transporting flat material blanks has a roller axis and a mantle surface. The suction roller is independent of format and therefore can be universally used for transporting flat material blanks, particularly label blanks. The suction roller has controllable suction holes or suction zones that lie at the closest possible distance from one another on its mantle surface. To this end, the suction roller has a plurality of suction slits, which run parallel to the roller axis and open into the mantle surface, whereby at least adjacent suction slits can have suction air applied to them independent of one another, and whereby a slit cover provided with passage holes is disposed on the mantle surface, in such a manner that the passage holes align with the suction slits, at least in part.

Suction roller for transporting flat material blanks

The present invention relates to the insert for the drum of a device for producing shaped pads from fibrous material. These inserts are attached to a disk of the drum and are designed in accordance with the shape and size of the pads to be produced. To simplify the retrofittability of the device or the drum for the production of pads of another size or shape and the number of drum inserts which must be kept in stock, it is provided that the drum insert consists of a base body, which, in turn, consists of a supporting sheet having several openings and several laminar sheets disposed in the direction of rotation of the drum and at right angles thereto. A forming insert is also provided at the outer side of the drum insert, which consists of a sieve and a sieve frame receiving it and that forming webs are provided in the drum insert which are located vertically above the laminar sheets extending transversely to the direction of rotation of the drum, whose shape is adapted to the shape of the sieve and thus to the shape of the pads to be produced in such fashion that the sieve retains its shape, even if it is loaded by the negative pressure.
