The invention relates to a monomer mixture for producing a dental material comprising: a. at least one base monomer M1 of the following formula 1: PG-S-A-S—[OOC—K—COO—S-A-S]-PG (formula 1), where PG=a polymerizable group selected from OOC—CH—CHand —OOC—C(CH)—CH; S=a spacer group selected from an unbranched and a branched alkylene, which has C1-C10 carbon atoms and which can also contain oxygen or —OOC— in the carbon chain, or S is omitted; A=an aliphatic polycyclic group; K=an aliphatic acyclic or cyclic saturated or unsaturated unit with C1-C10 carbon atoms; and n=1-9; b. at least one base monomer M2 of the following formula 2: PG'—S′-A′—S′—PG′ (formula 2), where PG′=a polymerizable group selected from OOC—CH═CHand —OOC—C(CH)═CH; S′=a spacer group selected from an unbranched and a branched alkylene, which has C1-C10 carbon atoms and which can also contain oxygen or —OOC— in the carbon chain, or S′ is omitted; and A′=an aliphatic polycyclic group, wherein the mass ratio Y=m(M2)/m(M1) of the base monomers M2 to M1 is 0.9≤Y≤20. The invention also relates to the use of the monomer mixture, to a polymerizable dental material containing such a monomer mixture, to a polymerizable dental material for use in a therapeutic method, and to a cured dental material.

Monomer mixture for producing a dental material

The invention provides a radically polymerizable compound wherein an acid group is joined via a spacer group to a polyethyleneimine group. The polyethyleneimine group has at least one radically polymerizable group in the side chain and/or terminally. The invention relates further to a process for preparing such compounds by cationic polymerization of oxazolines, to the use of such compounds as constituents of a dental material, and to a dental material comprising the compounds of the invention.

Radically polymerizable compound

The invention relates to a dental material, which contains: at least one monomer, containing at least one radically polymerizable ehtylenically unsaturated group and at least one acid group; at least one monomer, which contains no acid groups and at least one radically polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated group; at least one photoinitiator; and at least one tertiary aromatic amine as a coinitiator, which amine has a benzene ring, to which at least one dialkylamine group and at least one further group are directly bonded. According to the invention, the further group is selected from carboxylic acid ester groups containing at least one polyoxyalkylene group having at least 2 oxyethylene and/or oxypropylene units; and amide groups.

Polymerizable dental material

The invention provides an infiltrant for dental application that comprises crosslinking monomers. In accordance with the invention the infiltrant has a penetration coefficient PC&#x3e;50 cm/s, and the crosslinking monomers, based on the total mass of monomers, comprise at least 5% by weight of crosslinking monomers having at least three polymerizable groups and not more than 95% by weight of crosslinking monomers having two polymerizable groups.

Infiltrant for dental application

An infiltrant comprising from 90 to 99.9 wt.-% of at least one polymerizable monomer, oligomer or prepolymer and from 0.05 to 10 wt.-% of a polymerization initiator, the infiltrant having a dynamic viscosity of 0.3 to 100 mPa&#xb7;s (23&#xb0; C.); for use in a method for strengthening a fixed ceramic dental prosthesis in the oral cavity.

A subject-matter of the invention is an impression material with at least one compound with at least two alkenyl groups as component (a), at least one compound with at least one chelating group as component (b), at least one organohydropolysiloxane as component (c), at least one hydrosilylation catalyst as component (d) and at least one compound with a chelatable metal atom as component (e), the chelating group of the component (b) exhibiting no reactive groups which can react with the component (c) and/or the component (d).
