Methods, systems, and apparatuses are provided for providing an active haptic feedback signal for an operating element upon actuation of the operating element. Whether the operating element is actuated is determined. Whether a function is assigned to the operating element, if actuation of the operating element has been determined, is determined. The active haptic feedback signal is output to the operating element only in those cases in which actuation of the operating element has been determined and that a function is assigned to the operating element has been determined.

Method for providing an active haptic feedback signal for an operating element

A display unit includes a layer with a plurality of sub-regions which are arranged adjacently to one another along an illuminated edge of the layer. A corresponding number of symbols are arranged in the sub-regions. The display unit additionally has a plurality of light sources. The said light sources are arranged adjacently to one another along the illuminated edge of the layer. Each light source is configured to emit light into the respective sub-region of the layer via the illuminated edge of the layer. The display unit additionally has a limiting element which is arranged between the illuminated edge of the layer and the light sources and which is configured to limit the light emitted from the light sources for each sub-region such that the symbol in the respective sub-region is illuminated in a selective manner by the light sources.

A driving system is operatable at least in a first automated driving mode with automated longitudinal and/or lateral control, and in a different second automated driving mode with automated longitudinal and/or lateral control. The driving system has a steering wheel display with luminous elements for illuminating the steering wheel, which can be operated in different illumination states that are distinguishable by the driver. The luminous elements may illuminate the steering wheel rim, and are typically integrated into the steering wheel rim. The driving system specifies which illumination state of the different illumination states the steering wheel display has. The driving system specifies that, during operation of the driving system in the first driving mode, the steering wheel display is illuminated in a first illumination state. During operation of the driving system in the second driving mode, the steering wheel display is illuminated in a second illumination state that can be distinguished from the first illumination state by the driver.

Driving system for automated driving with a steering wheel display

A driving system for an automated drive for a motor vehicle has an indicator for marking regions on the steering wheel, in particular on the steering wheel rim. The indicator is preferably an optical steering wheel display which is integrated into the steering wheel rim for example. During an automated drive, the driving system is designed to ascertain that the vehicle has approached an end of the automated drive lying ahead in such a manner that a first approach condition has been satisfied. If the system has ascertained that the vehicle has approached the end of the automated drive in such a manner that the approach condition has been satisfied, the indicator for marking regions on the steering wheel are actuated in response thereto such that a left and a right marking region on the steering wheel are marked. The driver is thus prompted to position their hands on the marked regions of the steering wheel in order to take over the task of driving.

Driving system for an automated drive with means for marking regions on the steering wheel, and corresponding method

A driving system for an automated drive for a motor vehicle includes a steering wheel display with a lighting strip structure. The lighting strip structure of the steering wheel display is luminous in a defined lighting color for a duration which can be modified according to the actuation. The driving system is designed to control the steering wheel display such that the lighting strip structure is luminous in the lighting color over a starting length during the automated drive. Upon approaching an end of the automated drive lying ahead, the driving system determines that the vehicle has approached an end point of the automated drive lying ahead in such a manner that a specified approach condition has been satisfied. In response thereto, the steering wheel display is actuated such that the lighting strip structure is luminous in the lighting color with a successively decreasing length starting from the starting length as the distance to the end point of the automated drive decreases successively in order to prepare the driver to completely or at least partly take over control of the vehicle again.

A method and apparatus are provided for time-controlled activation of a vehicle function in a vehicle with automatic adjustment of the time of a vehicle-internal clock from standard time to daylight saving time and/or from daylight saving time to standard time. An operator control element is provided for manually selecting an activation instant. An electronic control unit takes the activation instant and the time of the vehicle-internal clock as a basis for prompting activation of the vehicle function when the activation instant has been reached. Selection of an activation instant that occurs only after an automatic changeover of the vehicle-internal clock from standard time to daylight saving time or from daylight saving time to standard time is to be expected prompts output of appropriate indicator.

Apparatus for time-controlled activation or deactivation of a vehicle function

An aerodynamically effective device for a motor vehicle has an air guiding element, which can be adjusted between an inoperative position and at least one operative position, a drive unit for adjusting the air guiding element and a control device for controlling the drive unit. The control device has an actuating device for actuating the drive unit. The actuating device can be operated from outside the motor vehicle.
