A battery cell () with two battery cell terminals () which are contactable from inside and/or outside the battery cell (), and an electrochemical part () comprising at least one separator. Upon the achievement of a predefined temperature, the at least one separator is at least partially impermeable to ions which can be generated in the electrochemical part (). The battery cell () has a rapid discharge unit (), which is connectable between the battery cell terminals () and which, in a switched-in and consequently activated state, has a predefined resistance value. A battery housing includes an inner chamber configured to accommodate galvanic cells, in particular lithium-ion cells, which are provided with a cut-out area that can be opened in the event of failure of the cell. In order to prevent, retard and optionally at least partially extinguish a fire in the event of the failure of one or more cells, for example during an accident of an electrically operated vehicle, the inner chamber of the battery housing includes at least one dispenser for dispensing a flame-inhibiting, flame-retarding and/or flame-extinguishing agent. The dispenser has at least one dispenser opening arranged adjacent to a cut-out area of a cell and configured to be opened. The dispenser opening is configured to be opened during a mechanical shock and/or a temperature increase and/or a pressure increase above a predetermined limit value.

Battery housing for lithium-ion cells

A lithium-ion cell includes outgoing conductor foils and collectors. The outgoing conductor foil of a negative electrode of the lithium-ion cell consists of an aluminum foil which is covered on both sides with a metal layer. The collector for the negative electrode has an aluminum workpiece, which is at least partially covered with a metal layer. The metal layers of the outgoing conductor foil and of the collector consist of copper or nickel.

A method is described for monitoring a charging process of a battery, in which cell voltages of a plurality of battery cells are measured at regular time intervals, and loading of the battery by a process of switching on an additional electrical load is prevented if the measured cell voltage of one battery cell exceeds a predetermined cell voltage threshold value. A motor vehicle is also described, which is configured to carry out the method according to the disclosure during a battery charging process. In addition, a battery system is described, in which a controller is configured to determine an estimated value as a function of measured battery parameters during a charging process of the battery. The estimated value corresponds to the maximum temperature in the battery if the charging process is continued without interruption.

In a battery module, having a housing, at least one battery, which is disposed in the housing, at least one inlet opening for introducing a cooling fluid into the housing, and at least one outlet opening for conducting the cooling fluid out of the housing. A reduction of the cooling performance because of heating of the compressed cooling fluid is to be at least partially avoided. Heat transfer device

The invention relates to an air-conditioning unit () for a motor vehicle with a heating heat transfer unit () connected to a coolant circuit () in an internal combustion engine and comprising an evaporator () installed upstream in the direction of flow of a fan (). A compressor () in a refrigerant circuit () pumps a refrigerant through a gas cooler () and an expansion valve () during a cooling operation, and pumps said refrigerant to the evaporator () via the expansion valve () by by-passing the gas cooler () during a heating operation. A coupled heat exchanger () is provided between the coolant circuit () and the refrigerant circuit ().
