A photovoltaic device comprising an array of elongate reflector elements mounted substantially parallel to one another and transversely spaced in series, at least one of the reflector elements having an elongate concave reflective surface to reflect incident solar radiation towards a forward adjacent reflector element in the array. The at least one reflector element includes a photovoltaic receptor mounted on the reflector element by a mounting arrangement to receive reflected solar radiation from a rearward adjacent reflector element. The reflector element also includes a heat sink in heat transfer relationship with the photovoltaic receptor, thermally isolating the photovoltaic receptor, at least partially, from the reflector element.

Device and method for solar power generation

A photovoltaic device comprising an array of elongate reflector elements mounted substantially parallel to one another and transversely spaced in series, at least one of the reflector elements having an elongate concave reflective surface to reflect incident solar radiation towards a forward adjacent reflector element in the array. A mounting support for a photovoltaic module is described. The mounting support includes a foundation having an integrated wire-way ledge portion. A photovoltaic module support mechanism is coupled with the foundation.

A torque arm assembly, used with a solar collector mounted to a drive shaft, comprises a torque arm with first and second ends and a torque arm coupling assembly including a drive shaft enclosure defining an open-ended channel sized to house the drive shaft. The channel has a circumferentially extending substantially continuous drive surface between the ends that lies adjacent to the drive shaft so the drive shaft and the drive shaft enclosure rotate together. In some examples, contiguous abutment structure, such as weld lines, shims and/or adhesive, connects each side of the drive shaft to the drive shaft enclosure. The invention may also be carried out as a connection improvement method.

Torque arm assembly and method

A torque arm assembly, used with a solar collector mounted to a drive shaft, comprises a torque arm with first and second ends and a torque arm coupling assembly including a drive shaft enclosure defining an open-ended channel sized to house the drive shaft. The channel has a circumferentially extending substantially continuous drive surface between the ends that lies adjacent to the drive shaft so the drive shaft and the drive shaft enclosure rotate together. In some examples contiguous abutment structure, such as weld lines, shims and/or adhesive, connects each side of the drive shaft to the drive shaft enclosure. The invention may also be carried out as a connection improvement method.

An electronic system, an apparatus for cooling an electronic system, an electronics cooling apparatus, and associated method use a clutch to operate a cooling fan. An electronics cooling fan for usage in cooling an electronic system comprises a clutch that disengages upon failure wherein the electronics cooling fan is configured to freewheel upon disengagement of the clutch.

An assembly comprises a frame adapted to mount an electronic device having a thickness within a range of thicknesses. The frame is adapted to assemble to a heat sink assembly after the electronic device is mounted. The assembly further comprises at least one spring adapted to secure the electronic device to the frame.

A computing device includes a baseboard, a memory coupled to the baseboard, an input/output coupled to the baseboard and a processor system coupled to the baseboard. The processor system includes a circuit board, a central electronic control coupled to the circuit board and a processor component. The device further includes a first structure coupling the processor component to the circuit board and retaining the processor component relative to the circuit board at a selected one of a plurality of positions in both directions along an axis perpendicular to the circuit board. The first structure is movably coupled to one of the processor component and the circuit board for movement in a direction perpendicular to the first axis at least prior to being coupled to the other of the processor component and the circuit board.

Computing device

Example systems and methods associated with positioning and securing an electronic module to a circuit board are described. In one embodiment, an electronic module comprises at least one connectible portion configured to connect to a circuit board and at least one extended portion having an opening therethrough. In one example, the opening can be configured to maintain a threaded device and to allow the threaded device to move within the opening. The threaded device can be configured to engage a securing device for adjustably securing the at least one extended portion to the circuit board.

A method of forming an insulated concrete foundation is provided comprising constructing a foundation frame, the frame comprising an insulating form having an opening, inserting a pocket former into the opening; placing concrete inside the foundation frame; and removing the pocket former after the placed concrete has set, wherein the concrete forms a pocket in the placed concrete that is accessible through the opening. The method may further comprise sealing the opening by placing a sealing plug or sealing material in the opening. A system for forming an insulated concrete foundation is provided comprising a plurality of interconnected insulating forms, the insulating forms having a rigid outer member protecting and encasing an insulating material, and at least one gripping lip extending outwardly from the outer member to provide a pest barrier. At least one insulating form has an opening into which a removable pocket former is inserted. The system may also provide a tension anchor positioned in the pocket former and a tendon connected to the tension anchor.

Slab edge insulating form system and methods

A subassembly of an apparatus, in one example, includes a first body member and a bias member. A fastener extending through the subassembly applies a compression force to the subassembly. A precompression member is engageable with the subassembly and the bias member so as to impart a precompression force to the bias member. In one example, the fastener is a screw engageable with a threaded plate and biased by a leaf spring which is precompressed to facilitate initial engagement of the screw and the threaded plate.
