The subject matter of the invention is a battery module for a motor vehicle having a multiplicity of battery cells, each having a first pole and a second pole and a contact plate which extends in a transverse direction and in a longitudinal direction, wherein a first group of the battery cells are connected via their respective first pole, one after the other to a first side, extending in the longitudinal direction, of the contact plate, and a remaining second group of the battery cells are connected by their respective second pole, one after the other to a second side, extending in the longitudinal direction, of the contact plate, with the result that, by means of the contact plate the first group of the battery cells are connected via the first poles, and the second group of the battery cells are connected via the second poles, in parallel, and the first group of the battery cells and the second group of the battery cells are connected in series, and between adjacent first poles on the first side and/or between adjacent second poles on the second side, at least one cutout, extending in the transverse direction, is provided in the contact plate, with a length such that the ratio of the resistance of the contact plate in the extent in the longitudinal direction with respect to the resistance of the contact plate in the extent in the transverse direction is &#x2265;2.

Battery module for a motor vehicle

A device for elastically stabilizing vertebral bodies includes at least two bone anchoring means, each having a central axis and a head segment. The device also includes elastic means that can be joined to the head segments of two adjacent bone anchoring means in such a manner that the longitudinal axis of the elastic means extends transversely to the central axes of the bone anchoring means. Under compressive loads, the elastic means has a progressive spring characteristic. The elastic means is manufactured from a metallic material and has a plurality of spring coils, of which at least two spring coils have a geometric dimension which is different from the other spring coils.

Device for elastically stabilizing vertebral bodies

An intervertebral implant has two U-shaped inserts set over each other with a center piece in between. The two inserts each have an opposing base surface, two lateral side surfaces, and a contact surface. The contact surface has a channel configured to receive a spinal process of a vertebral body. The center piece has two resting surfaces corresponding respectively to each contact surfaces. The contact and resting surfaces each have corresponding structures that can engage each other such that the U-shaped inserts can each be fastened in a detachable manner to the center piece. The U-shaped inserts each have on the same lateral side surface connecting means to fasten the inserts to gripping elements of a surgical instrument. And the first and second structures can be engaged or disengaged only by the lateral side surface fitted with the connecting means.

Interspinous implant

A damping element for the dynamic stabilization of two bones, particularly of two adjacent bodies of the vertebra, includes a flexible spring element having a hollow space. The hollow space is open on a first end and closed on a second end by a wall extending transversely to the longitudinal axis of the damping element. A clamping sleeve is inserted at least partially into the hollow space. The sleeve has a front end directed towards the wall of the flexible spring element. The distance between the front end and the wall affects the damping characteristics of the damping element. A coaxial connecting element is attached to each end of the flexible spring element. Each connecting element is configured to be connected within an osteosynthetic stabilizing device.

Dynamic damping element for two bones

An intervertebral implant includes a middle part, comprising two pins, which can be introduced into the intervertebral space between two vertebrae having a central axis, a first end intersecting the central axis, and a second end intersecting the central axis, and two longitudinal parts each with a longitudinal axis extending transversely to the central axis of the middle part and each with an apposition surface directed transversely to the central axis of the middle part contacting the two processi spinosi of two adjacent vertebra bodies. Each part is connectable with one end of the middle part in such a manner that the apposition surfaces are directed against one another. The middle part of the implant is extendable transversely to its central axis along the longitudinal axes of the two parts.
