A projection assembly for a head-up display (HUD), includes a windshield including an outer pane and an inner pane that are joined to one another via a thermoplastic intermediate layer, having a HUD region; and a projector that is directed at the HUD region and that emits p-polarized radiation; wherein a reflection coating is arranged on the surface of the outer pane or of the inner pane facing the intermediate layer or within the intermediate layer, which reflection coating is suitable for reflecting p-polarized radiation and which has exactly one electrically conductive layer based on silver; and an emissivity-reducing coating is arranged on the surface of the inner pane facing away from the intermediate layer, which coating has an electrically conductive layer based on a transparent conductive oxide.

A composite pane includes a laminated stacking sequence composed of an outer pane with an exterior-side surface and an interior-side surface, an inner pane with an exterior-side surface and an interior-side surface, and at least one thermoplastic intermediate layer, which joins the interior-side surface of the outer pane to the exterior-side surface of the inner pane, wherein a heatable element is applied directly on the interior-side surface of the outer pane or on the exterior-side surface of the inner pane, and a thermal-radiation-reflecting coating is applied directly on the interior-side surface of the inner pane and/or a thermal-radiation-reflecting coating is applied directly on the exterior-side surface of the outer pane.

A method for producing a composite pane for a motor vehicle includes heating the plastic film at least in the region of the LED into a fluid state by a heating source positioned on an outer surface of the first pane or the second pane or arranged at a distance from the outer surface of the first pane or the second pane, and introducing the LED into the plastic film into the fluid state with displacement of a predefined volume of the plastic film. After introducing the LED into the plastic film, the method includes laminating the first pane and the second pane with the interposed plastic film.

For each of the diodes, the lamination interlayer comprises a blind aperture on the opposite face to the anchoring face.
