A hot-rolling stand () for a hot-rolling mill comprises an adjusting device (), which is intended for receiving a pair of work rolls () and for positioning work rolls () of the pair of work rolls () in relation to one another to define a roll gap. In order to create a hot-rolling stand () that can be adapted as flexibly as possible, the adjusting device () is designed to interchangeably accommodate, in the pair of work rolls (), different roll diameter ranges by means of mutually complementary work rolls ().

A roll stand having work rolls mounted therein. The roll stand has at least one upper mounting rail, which is mounted on the drive-side roll stand frame and oriented in a transverse direction to a rolling line running through the roll stand. In order to be able to keep the assembly space in the roll stand over the rolling line free during rolling&#x2014;except for a roll change&#x2014;and still change the roll efficiently, the upper mounting rail is configured to be moved into the rolling line and out of the rolling line, starting from the drive-side roll stand frame.

The invention relates to a device () for cooling a metal strip () between two rolling stands (), wherein the strip () is led over a leading-over element () of a flat form and arranged under the leading-over element () is a spraying element (), which directs cooling medium () onto the underside () of the strip () through at least one opening () in the leading-over element (). To achieve an improved spray pattern, the invention provides that at least two openings () are introduced into the leading-over element (), said openings being arranged next to each other in a direction transverse (Q) to the conveying direction (F) of the strip () and having an elongated form, wherein the longitudinal axis () of the opening () is aligned at an angle (&#x3b1;) with respect to the conveying direction (F) of the strip.

A hot-rolling stand including blocks arranged in the stand windows and having hydraulic piston cylinder units provided as bending devices which are able to transfer bending forces via guide elements onto the chocks of the working rolls. For each block a double-acting hydraulic piston cylinder unit is provided whose two ends are connected with the guide elements. The guide elements have guide that engage both sides of the free ends of noses of the working roll chocks so as to permit axial movement of the working rolls.
