A high-pressure discharge lamp having a discharge vessel with a central part that bulges out and which defines a lamp axis with a sealing part being attached to each end of the discharge vessel. The shaft of in each case one electrode, comprising a head and a shaft, is sealed in the sealing part, and a capillary tube closely surrounding the shaft of the electrode is between the central part of the discharge vessel and the sealing part. A tubular neck is integrally formed as a component of the discharge vessel between the central part and the capillary tube, and is separated from the shaft.

High-pressure discharge lamp with improved intensity distribution

A direct current discharge lamp with an anode () and a cathode () that are arranged opposite one another at a predetermined distance (r) inside a discharge vessel () filled with a filling gas, it being possible to apply electric power (P) to the anode () and the cathode () in order to produce a gas discharge. At least the predetermined distance (r) between the anode () and the cathode (), the electric power (P) and a geometry of the anode () are adapted to one another in such a way that a region () of a surface () of the anode () facing the cathode () is free flowing in the heated state of the direct current discharge lamp.

Direct-current discharge lamp

A lamp device (), wherein the lamp device () has at least one contact conductor () and a vessel () for enclosing a gas. The vessel () delimits a primary volume () and a secondary volume (), the primary volume () and the secondary volume () being interconnected by a transitional region () of the vessel (). The contact conductor () runs through the transitional region, and the contact conductor () has a recess () that is arranged in the transitional region.
