The invention relates to a drive unit, in particular for a vehicle drive, comprising a drive machine generating driving power, a cooling system for the fluid cooling of the drive machine and/or a component of the drive unit which is supplied at least indirectly with driving power by the drive machine, wherein in the cooling system a coolant circulates; a lubricating circuit for the lubrication of at least one movable component of the drive unit with a lubricant. The invention is characterized in that the drive unit further comprises an accumulation reservoir, in which a comprehensive operating fluid, which comprises a mixture of an ionic fluid and a vaporizable fluid, is stockpiled, wherein the cooling system and the lubricating circuit are at least indirectly fluidically connected to the accumulation reservoir in order to extract lubricant and coolant from the comprehensive operating fluid.

Drive unit and method for its operation

A drive train for a motor vehicle is provided. The drive train includes a heat flow generating drive motor, a steam engine in a steam circuit, and an evaporator. The evaporator has an inlet for liquid working fluid and an outlet for evaporated working fluid. The evaporator also includes an auxiliary outlet, via which a portion of the heated working fluid is guided through the inlet into the first evaporator and is discharged with the heat flow, before the residual working fluid in the evaporator is further evaporated by means of the heat flow.

A drive train, especially a vehicle drive train, includes: an engine for supplying drive power into the drive train; a cooling circuit in which a cooling medium is revolved in order to cool the engine or an electric generator or another unit; an expansion machine which is driven with fluid or steam as a working medium and by way of which additional drive power can be supplied to the drive train or which drives an electric generator or another unit, the cooling medium of the cooling circuit being simultaneously the working medium of the expansion machine; and a bypass to the expansion machine which is provided through which the working medium of the expansion machine is forced through a switching valve or can be guided past the expansion machine automatically by the prevailing pressure conditions.

A drive train for a motor vehicle includes: a vehicle drive engine for driving the motor vehicle via a vehicle drive shaft driven by a vehicle drive engine; and a compressor which can be driven optionally or permanently for compressing air for a compressed-air system of the motor vehicle. The compressor is associated with at least one drive unit in the form of a steam-driven expansion machine by which the compressor can be driven.

The invention relates to an arrangement for exhaust gas heat utilization comprising a steam generator arrangement () to which exhaust gas is applied, in which heat contained in the exhaust gas can be transferred to a working medium for further utilization, characterized by a heat accumulator () to which the exhaust gas can be applied, and control means for controlling exhaust gas partial flows according to a value representing the available heat energy of the exhaust gas by the heat accumulator and the steam generator arrangement. The arrangement is operated by means of a method using the following steps: a) applying exhaust heat to a steam generator arrangement; b) if more exhaust heat is available than required for the steam generation: diverting an exhaust gas partial flow into a heat accumulator; c) if less exhaust gas heat is available than required for the steam generation, and if the temperature of the heat accumulator is higher than the temperature of the exhaust gas entering into the arrangement: conducting the exhaust gas flow through the heat accumulator and subsequently through the steam generator arrangement.

Arrangement for exhaust gas heat utilization

The invention is characterized in that the expander is integrated into the secondary side of the transmission by means of one or more of the following features: the expander has a housing which substantially completely surrounds the expander; the expander is equipped with a drive shaft which projects out of the housing and has a coupling element that is fixed to the drive shaft and that produces a drive connection. The housing of the expander is mounted on the secondary side on the exterior of a transmission housing that surrounds the transmission, or is mounted from the exterior and partially inserted into the transmission housing, in such a way that the coupling element of the drive shaft projects into the transmission housing, producing a direct or indirect drive connection to the transmission output; the transmission has a heat exchanger, which is used to cool transmission oil for lubricating the transmission and/or actuating clutches or brakes inside the transmission, the working medium of the expander being conducted through the heat exchanger in such a way that heat is dissipated from the working medium to partially or completely condense the latter or that heat in the heat exchanger is transferred to the working medium of the expander to heat the latter.
