A coupling device couples a drive shaft of a pivot drive () of an exhaust gas stream exhaust flap () for an internal combustion engine with a pivot shaft (), which is rotatable about a pivot axis (A) and carries a flap member (). The coupling device includes a coupling element () with a first coupling area () positive-locking engaging with a drive shaft () and with a second coupling area () positive-locking engaging with a pivot shaft. A prestressing element () is supported in relation to the coupling element and in relation to a support element () and prestresses the coupling element in a direction of a coupling axis (K), axially away from the support element and in a circumferential direction. A preassembly-blocking device () holds the support element under axial prestress and circumferential prestress in a preassembled position in relation to the coupling element.

Exhaust flap

An exhaust gas flap includes a flap tube (), a flap diaphragm (), in an interior of the flap tube on a pivot shaft () rotatable about a pivot axis (A), a pivot drive () for the pivot shaft () and a coupling device () coupling the pivot shaft to a drive shaft (). The coupling device includes a first coupling area () rotationally coupled, positive-lockingly meshed with the drive shaft and a second coupling area () rotationally coupled, positive-lockingly meshed with the pivot shaft. A biasing element () is supported in relation to the coupling device and in relation to one shaft of the drive shaft and the pivot shaft. The coupling device is axially prestressed, by the prestressing element, away from the one shaft along in the direction of the pivot axis and is prestressed about the pivot axis in relation to the one shaft.

Exhaust gas flap

A regulating flap, especially exhaust flap for the exhaust gas stream of an internal combustion engine, includes a flap body (), a flap diaphragm () carried on a pivot shaft () that is rotatable about a pivot axis (S) in the interior of the flap body (). A pivot drive () has a drive element () to be coupled with the pivot shaft (). A fixing device () fixes the pivot drive () in relation to the flap body (). The fixing device () includes a bayonet fastener ().

Regulating flap

A method provides for manufacturing a flap carrier for an exhaust gas flap, especially for the exhaust gas stream of an internal combustion engine. The method includes providing a flap housing () and providing a stop ring (). The stop ring () is inserted into the flap housing () in a position corresponding to an installed position. The stop ring () is fixed to the flap housing (). Subsequently to fixing the stop ring () to the flap housing (), at least one shaft opening () for a pivot shaft carrying a flap diaphragm with at least one flap wing is inserted into the stop ring ().

Method for manufacturing a flap carrier for an exhaust gas flap

An exhaust gas flap includes a flap tube (), a flap diaphragm () carried in the interior of the flap tube () on a pivot shaft () rotatable about a pivot axis (A), a pivot drive () and a coupling device () coupling the pivot shaft () to a drive shaft () of the pivot drive (). The coupling device () includes a first coupling area () that positive-lockingly meshes with the drive shaft () and a second coupling area () that positive-lockingly meshes with the pivot shaft (). A biasing element () is supported in relation to the coupling device () and is supported in relation to one shaft of the drive shaft () and the pivot shaft (). The coupling device () is axially biased by the biasing element () towards the other shaft and is prestressed about the pivot axis in relation to the one shaft.

An exhaust gas flap, especially for the exhaust gas stream of an internal combustion engine, includes a flap tube (), a flap diaphragm (). The flap diaphragm () is carried in the interior of the flap tube () on a pivot shaft (), rotatable about a pivot axis (A). The flap diaphragm () has at least one flap diaphragm part () and a mounting area () enclosing the pivot shaft () in at least some areas. A wing stop () is provided at an inner circumferential area of the flap tube () in association with at least one flap diaphragm part (). A recess () at the flap diaphragm (), receiving a circumferential end area () of a wing stop (), is provided in at least one axial end area of the mounting area ().

A coupling device () provides a rotary coupling of a pivot shaft () of a flap diaphragm () of an exhaust gas flap () with a drive element (). The pivot shaft is to be rotated about a pivot axis (A). The coupling device () includes a first coupling part () with a first coupling area configured for coupling with the pivot shaft () and a second coupling part () with a second coupling area configured for coupling with the drive element (). The first coupling part () and the second coupling part () are in a rotary coupling positive-locking meshing state with one another in the coupled state and are supported on one another in the direction of the pivot axis (A).

Coupling device for the rotary coupling of a pivot shaft of a flap diaphragm of an exhaust gas flap with a drive element

A coupling device, for the rotary coupling of a pivot shaft of a flap diaphragm of an exhaust gas flap with a drive element, includes at least one coupling element () with a first coupling area () configured for coupling to the pivot shaft (), with a second coupling area () configured for coupling to the drive element () and with at least one connection area () connecting the first coupling area () to the second coupling area (). In the coupled state, the first coupling area () and the second coupling area () are prestressed in a direction towards one another or in a direction away from one another. The at least one coupling element () is formed with sheet material.

An exhaust gas flap, especially for the exhaust gas stream of an internal combustion engine, includes a flap tube () and a flap diaphragm () carried in an interior of the flap tube on a pivot shaft () rotatable about a pivot axis. A flap wing () is mounted on the pivot shaft () and a wing stop () is associated with the flap wing () on an inner circumferential area of the flap tube. The flap wing () has a mounting area () with uncurved mounting surfaces (). Opposing mounting surfaces () or/and a mounting recess () at the pivot shaft () provide an opposing mounting area that at least partially receives the flap wing mounting area () of the flap wing (), the opposing mounting area being provided on the outer circumferential area of the pivot shaft ().

An electric exhaust gas valve device () controls a flow cross section () of an exhaust pipe () of an exhaust system () of an internal combustion engine. The valve device includes an electric drive () driving a driven shaft () rotatingly about an axis of rotation (). An exhaust gas valve () has a drive shaft () aligned coaxially to and rotatable about the axis of rotation for controlling the cross section. A coupling device () transmits torques between the driven shaft and the drive shaft and includes a connection element connected to the drive shaft, a transmission element () connected to the driven shaft and the connection element with a prestressing spring () supported axially on the connection element and/or on the drive shaft as well as on the transmission element and axially driving the transmission element against the driven shaft to reduce thermal load.
