The bearing element () is adjacent to the head. The textile sheathing encloses the bearing element () and is located in some areas between the bearing element () and the head. The bearing element () is detachably connectable to a respective holding element through at least one connection opening in the textile sheathing. A process for removing the textile sheathing from the safety helmet (), as well as to a process for manufacturing a safety helmet () are provided.

A safety helmet () includes an arched helmet shell (), an arched shock-absorbing shell (), a holding ring () and a resilient element (). The holding ring () is permanently connected to the helmet shell (). The shock-absorbing shell () adjoins a holding ring edge. The resilient element () is supported at the holding ring (), projects over the holding ring edge and acts to move the shock-absorbing shell () away from the holding ring () and to press shock-absorbing shell () against the helmet shell (). A process for manufacturing such a safety helmet () is provided. According to the process, first the shock-absorbing shell () is placed first into the helmet shell () and the holding ring () is then attached to the helmet shell ().

A safety helmet with a helmet shell, with a bearing ring, with a rotatable actuating element () and with a transmission unit (). The transmission unit () transmits a rotation of the actuating element to the bearing ring, so that the head size provided is changed. A helmet shell-side transmission piece () is non-rotatably connected to the actuating element () such that they rotate in unison, and a bearing ring-side transmission piece () is connected mechanically to the bearing ring. The helmet shell-side transmission piece () can move both relative to the actuating element () and relative to the bearing ring-side transmission piece () linearly in two opposite directions. The distance between the actuating element () and the bearing ring can be changed thereby.

Safety helmet with telescopically adjustable head size

A head protection system includes a safety helmet and a fire protection cloth. The safety helmet includes a helmet shell () and a holding device () to guarantee a distance (A) between a helmet shell inner side () and the user head (). An air path () is formed by a plurality of openings () of a fastening ring () and the distance between the inner side of the helmet shell and the head of the user. The fastening ring is arranged at least in an area of the user forehead of the user. The fire protection cloth has a fastening strap () with rigid fastening elements () configured to mesh with an opening of the fastening ring to detachably fasten the fire protection cloth to the safety helmet. The rigid fastening elements fill the plurality of openings in the fastened state to close the air path.
