A sensor for a contactless electrocardiographic measurement on a person includes a carrier for fastening the sensor on an object, such as a vehicle seat, and at least one electrically flat electrode mounted to the carrier by an elastic element. An inflatable bellows is disposed between the carrier and the electrode, inflation of the bellows deflecting the elastic element and increasing a distance between the electrode and the carrier to thereby urge the electrode toward a person seated on the seat.

Sensor for contactless electrocardiographic measurement

A device for determining the regional distribution of a parameter for lung perfusion includes an electrical impedance tomography unit with electrodes (E, . . . EN), which can be placed on the thorax, that are connected to a control and analysis unit () and an administering device () for the intravenous administration of a conductivity contrast medium. The control and analysis unit () is configured to display changes in impedance distribution occurring as a consequence of the administration of conductivity contrast medium as a parameter for lung perfusion in the section plane as a function of time. The administering device () has a controllable dispensing device. The control and analysis unit and the dispensing device are connected with one another via a data link (). A start time and an end time and a quantity of an administered bolus of the conductivity contrast medium are available to the control and analysis unit ().

Device for determining the regional distribution of a parameter for lung perfusion

A sensor for contactless electrocardiographic measurement of a person has at least one electrically conductive, planar electrode having a measurement surface facing the person and a connection surface facing away from the person. An electrical terminal for connection with a measurement apparatus is spaced from the connection surface such that the connection surface is only placed in electrical connection with the terminal when pressure of a required magnitude is applied to the measurement. The electrical connection may be achieved by a switching contact disposed between the electrode and the terminal which is brought into contact with both the electrode and the terminal when the electrode is deflected toward the terminal by the pressure. A compressible material is disposed between the electrode and the terminal to allow tuning of the pressure required to achieve electrical contact.

Contactless electrocardiographic measurement sensor

A device and a method () for the processing of data (), which were obtained by an imaging method, make possible an improvement in a location-specific visualization of the perfusion of the lung. With a reference to a comparison variable, a location-specific variable (), characteristic of a period of observation, regarding the perfusion of the lung and heart region, is determined and provided as an output signal.

A sensor for contactless electrocardiographic measurement on a person includes a carrier for mounting to a seat, an electrode for registering a measurement signal, a pressure sensor supporting the electrode on the carrier, and moisture and temperature sensors mounted to the carrier to detect conditions adjacent to the electrode and the subject person. The moisture sensor and the temperature sensor may be adjacent to at least one opening in the electrode. A processing unit receives information generated by the pressure sensor, the moisture sensor, and the temperature sensor, and filters the measurement signal based on the information. An acceleration sensor may also be mounted to the carrier and/or electrode and send signals to the processor.

An electroimpedance tomograph including a plurality of electrodes placed on a body, measuring circuits processing voltage signals recorded by the electrodes, and a control unit supplying two electrodes each with an alternating current. The control unit has a preset feed frequency. The control unit processes the processed voltage signals of all other electrodes to reconstruct the impedance distribution of the body in the electrode plane. The control unit provides for an automatic setting of the current feed frequency/frequencies to record a background frequency spectrum by detecting the electrode voltage signals over a preset period of time and record them as a voltage time series and transform them into a frequency spectrum. The control unit searches in the background frequency spectrum for a frequency (different states) or frequencies (different frequencies) that leads to a useful signal to background ratio above a preset threshold value when used as a feed frequency.

Electroimpedance tomograph

The invention relates to a method and an apparatus to identify alveolar opening and collapse of a lung. To automatically generate the settings of ventilator parameters in a simple and gentle way, the hemoglobin oxygen saturation and/or the endtidal COconcentration and/or the COoutput are-measured and processing to detect alveolar opening and closing. From the knowledge of the corresponding airway pressures, a central processing unit may generate the settings of ventilation parameters such that gas exchange is maximal while the mechanical stress of the lung tissue is minimal.

Non-invasive method for optimizing the respiration of atelectatic lungs

An electrode belt for impedance tomography shall be improved such that it has a simple design and makes possible good contacting of the electrodes () with the body of the test subject to be examined. The electrode belt () has at least 16 electrodes () on an electrode holder or belt material (), which is elastic at least in some sections. The belt formed of one or more belt material sections completely surrounds a test subject to be examined on the circumference of the body. Electrode feed lines () extend along the electrode holder (). The electrode feed lines and are connected to a feed line () at least at one feed point () on the electrode holder ().

Electrode belt

A device is provided for putting an electrode carrier on a recumbent patient. The device includes a first lifting cushion that supports the shoulder region and the head of the patient at the same time and into which a pressurized medium can be admitted. A second lifting cushion is provided that supports the lumbar region and into which pressurized medium can be admitted. A spacer is provided fixing the lifting cushions in relation to one another in the chest region.

Device and process for putting an electrode carrier on a patient

A ventilation system () is combined with a measuring method () for electric impedance tomography (EIT). Bidirectional data exchange between the two systems is provided. Both the ventilation system () and the measuring system () have a first and second communications electronic unit () each with associated transmitting and receiving means for the bidirectional data exchange.

Device for measuring human blood sugar levels with a catheter, the free end of which is positioned in a blood vessel, wherein the catheter consists of at least one optical waveguide comprising a light source for coupling light into the at least one optical waveguide, a measurement point at the free end of the catheter at which point the light is emitted from the at least one optical waveguide, wherein the light is dispersed by the blood and/or transmitted by the blood and wherein the dispersed and/or transmitted light is coupled again into the minimum of one return optical waveguide, a detector to receive the light which is returned, and a computer unit for analysing the light received by the detector. Provision is made for a cleansing device to be located at the point of measurement for removing the tissue particles deposited from the blood in order to provide a device which is as accurate as possible and which delivers constant measurement values over time for blood sugar levels which can be used as the basis for further data analysis.
