A microscope is provided with a holder for holding a sample carrier, an imaging unit which comprises a first detector and a first imaging optical system for imaging at least one part of a sample held by the sample carrier along a first optical axis onto the first detector, a control unit and a detection unit which comprises an illuminating module, a second detector and a second imaging optical system. The control unit only analyzes the measured values originating from the analysis area by the second detector in order to determine the direction of the change of position of the focus of the first imaging optical system along the first optical axis with the aim of positioning the boundary surface of the sample carrier directed towards the sample side in the depth of field area of the first imaging optical system.

Microscope

An optics device with an optics module that includes at least one optical element and a control module for controlling the optics device is provided. The optics module includes a sub-system with a memory as well as at least one of an actuator and a sensor. An instruction for setting the actuator and/or the sensor of the sub-system is stored in the memory. The control module is formed such that, during operation of the optics device, it reads the instructions from the memory of the sub-system and activates the actuator and/or the sensor of the sub-system according to the instruction.

The invention relates to a method for operating a microscope device having a first and a second zoom microscope, wherein a zoom adjustment of the second zoom microscope is carried out in dependence upon a zoom adjustment of the first zoom microscope. It is provided according to this method that, in order to set a determined magnification ratio between the zoom microscopes, the zoom adjustment of the second zoom microscope is automatically carried out on the basis of a coupling function or that, in order to carry out a size comparison between specimens brought into beam paths of the two zoom microscopes, the zoom adjustment of the first zoom microscope and the zoom adjustment of the second zoom microscope are carried out as desired by a user and a magnification ratio between the zoom adjustments carried out is determined in dependence upon these zoom adjustments and on the basis of a coupling function, through which an assignment of zoom adjustments of the first zoom microscope to zoom adjustments of the second zoom microscope is produced. In addition the invention relates to a microscope device with two zoom microscopes.

Microscope device and method for operating a microscope device

A method for correcting the parcentricity in zoom systems. The positional difference in the image between at least two different zoom positions is detected in order to explicitly or implicitly determine the position in the image which remains stationary during zooming. The travel lengths of a means for positioning the object in the object plane required for correcting the zoom-dependent parcentricity error are calculated and provided as control variable for the appropriate positioning of the means for positioning the object in the object plane, such that the target position appears stationary in the image after or during zooming.

Method for correcting parcentricity in zoom systems

A microscope including an imaging optical unit, a sample stage for supporting a sample to be examined, a movement unit, by which the distance between sample stage and imaging optical unit can be altered, a focus measuring unit, which measures the present focus position and outputs a focus measurement signal, a control unit for maintaining a predetermined focus position for examinations of the sample that are separated from one another in time. The control unit receives the focus measurement signal and derives a deviation of the present focus position from the predetermined focus position. Dependent on the deviation derived the movement unit, changes the distance between sample stage and imaging optical unit so that the predetermined focus position is maintained. The control unit drives the movement unit () for maintaining the predetermined focus position only before and/or after at least one of the examinations, but never during the examinations.

Microscope with retain focus control

The invention relates to a microscope having a stage for supporting a sample to be examined, a recording sensor, an imaging optic for imaging the sample onto the recording sensor, a moving unit by means of which the distance between the stage and the imaging optic can be changed, a control unit for controlling an image recording of the sample and a focus-holding unit for maintaining a prescribed focal position for image recording of the sample at temporal intervals, wherein the focus-holding device comprises at least one hardware element and one software module, wherein the focus-holding unit is fully integrated in the control unit, on both the hardware and software sides.
