A measuring device includes a first measuring port connected to an optical interface which can be connected to an optical input or output of a device under test (DUT). The device includes a second measuring port which can be connected to a radio frequency (RF) input or output of the DUT. The optical interface is connected to the optical input of the DUT and the second measuring port is connected to the RF output of the DUT. The first measuring port generates an analog measuring signal and provides it to the optical interface. The optical interface generates an optical measuring signal based on the analog measuring signal and provides it to the optical input of the DUT. The second measuring port receives an analog measuring signal generated by the DUT based on the optical measuring signal. The processor determines S-parameters of the DUT based on the two analog measuring signals.

Vector network analyzer with digital interface

A vector network analyzer is provided which includes a first measuring port, a digital interface connected to the first measuring port, a second measuring port adapted to be connected to a radio frequency (RF) input or output of a device under test (DUT), and a processor. The digital interface is adapted to be connected to a digital input or output of the DUT. The processor is adapted to determine scattering parameters (S-parameters) of the DUT based on measuring signals transmitted to the DUT and received from the DUT by the first measuring port and the second measuring port.

A radar target simulation device for testing a device under test with respect to at least one radar scenario. The radar target simulation device includes a memory, a radar scenario simulator and at least two antennas. The memory stores the radar scenario(s) with respect to the device under test, and provides the radar scenario(s) to the radar scenario simulator. The radar scenario simulator receives radar signals from the device under test via the antennas to simulate the radar scenario(s) by manipulating the radar signals according to the radar scenario(s), generates resulting manipulated radar signals, and transmits the manipulated radar signals to the device under test via the antennas. The memory contains storage contents including storage cells, wherein each storage cell corresponds to the respective antenna of the at least two antennas.

Radar target simulation device and method

A vector network analyzer comprises a first measuring port, a first digital interface, connected to the first measuring port, adapted to be connected to a digital input or output of a device under test, and a second measuring port, adapted to be connected to a radio frequency input or output of the device under test. It also comprises a processor, adapted to determine S-parameters of the device under test based upon measuring signals transmitted to the device under test and receive from the device under test by the first measuring port and the second measuring port.

A testing system for testing the performance of a detector is described, comprising a target generator for generating a target and a control unit that comprises at least one of a processing sub-unit, an analyzing sub-unit and a calculation sub-unit. The control unit is connected to the target generator such that the control unit is configured to control the target generator for controlling the target generated. A measurement system for real-time visualization of radiation pattern is provided. The measurement system comprises an antenna array with a plurality of antennas configured to provide a voltage gain corresponding to a received radio signal. Furthermore, the measurement system comprises a plurality of radio frequency detectors configured to rectify the voltage gain from each antenna of the plurality of antennas. In addition, the measurement system comprises a plurality of amplifiers downstream of the plurality of radio frequency detectors configured to amplify the magnitude of a rectified voltage from each of the radio frequency detectors. A method for analyzing the resolution and/or the accuracy of a transmission unit of a radar sensor is described wherein a transmitter signal is received via a receiving unit. At least one echo signal based on said received signal is simulated. The frequency difference of said transmitter signal and said echo signal is determined. Said frequency difference is filtered and transformed in order to obtain a transform. At least one maximum of said frequency difference in said transform is detected. Spectral properties of said frequency difference in said transform are determined. At least one quality parameter of said spectral properties is outputted. Further, a radar sensor is described.

Method and apparatus for radar accuracy measurements

A radar simulation device for testing a device under test with respect to at least one radar scenario is provided. The radar simulation device comprises a memory, a radar scenario simulator, and two or more antennas. The memory is configured to store the radar scenario with respect to the device under test, and to provide the radar scenario to the radar scenario simulator. The method comprises the steps of: modeling of gravity waves using a physical simulation of a sea surface; modeling of capillary waves using stochastic processes; and adding the modeled capillary waves to the modeled gravity waves.

A measuring device for measuring a radar signal is provided. The radar signal is generated from a digital reference signal. The measuring device comprises a memory configured to store a digitized radar signal derived from the radar signal and the digital reference signal.
