In a drive train device, in particular a motor vehicle drive train device, with a working fluid pressure system for providing an operating fluid pressure including at least a first and a second operating fluid pressure source connected in at least one operating state directly to the working fluid pressure system, and a lubricating and cooling fluid pressure system with an operating fluid pressure deviating from the operating fluid pressure in the working fluid pressure system, a hydraulic switching unit is provided which in at least one operating state connects the second operating fluid pressure source directly to the lubricating and cooling fluid pressure system for increasing the pressure thereof.

Drive train device

In a toroidal transmission with a continuously variable power transmission ratio, which is adjustable by displacement of a power transmission roller arranged between toric disks along an axis X-X under the control of an adjusting unit including a hydraulic piston, the adjusting unit has a bush which serves on the one hand to seal off the working space and, at the same time, forms two slide surfaces one for the piston and another for the guide bush, all in a small support space pivotally supporting a support member for the power transmission roller.

Toroidal gearing

In a toroidal transmission, wherein power transmission rollers are supported rotatably on pivotable support brackets, the pivot movement of adjacent support brackets is coupled via driver elements which are mounted to the support brackets for pivoting therewith and are arranged axially adjacent to one another and formed by a single component.

Toroidal power transmission

In a variator for an infinitely variable toroidal drive including a support trunnion rotatably supporting motion transmitting traction rollers and means for the lubrication and cooling of the components of the variator, in particular of the bearings, throttles are provided in the lubricant lines directly adjacent to the bearings whereby the pressure level for lubricant is raised for an improved control of the flow of the lubricant to the different lubricating points.

Variator for an infinitely variable toroidal drive of a motor vehicle

In a continuously variable transmission with a toroidal variable speed drive, in which a roller is supported pivotably between two toroidal disks for transmitting motion between the two toroidal disks at transmission ratios which depend on the pivot position of the roller according to pressure forces acting on a hydraulic actuating piston, for the purpose of varying the transmission ratio, two regulating slide valves are provided, each including a regulating slide with control edges to act upon the hydraulic actuating piston via a hydraulic medium under the control of the regulating slide valves each controlling the pressure in one of the chambers arranged at opposite ends of the actuating piston.

Continuously variable transmission

In a variable speed transmission arrangement including an infinitely variable drive having two toroidal input and toroidal output traction wheels with a central shaft connected for rotation with an input traction wheel and extending through the output and the other toroidal input traction wheel and being connected to a planet carrier of a planetary summing gear set while the toroidal traction output wheel is connected, by way of a hollow shaft receiving the central shaft, to the sun wheel of the planetary summing gear set, and the other toroidal traction input wheel is directly connected to the planet carrier by way of a rotational interlocking means rotationally interlocking the planet carrier and the other toroidal traction input wheel, but permitting relative axial movement to facilitate assembly.

Variable speed transmission arrangement with an infinitely variable toroidal drive and a summing gear set of the planet wheel type

A toroidal variable-speed drive unit includes at least one axial offset transmission, at least one actuating member, pivotable supporting journals, and rollers arranged on the pivotable supporting journals which are coupled to one another by the at least one axial offset transmission and can be supported on the at least one actuating member, wherein the rollers are arranged between the actuating member and the at least one axial offset transmission.

Toroidal variable-speed drive unit

A motor vehicle transmission includes a toroidal variable-speed drive unit. The drive unit includes at least an input shaft, a hollow shaft, two driving discs, and a driven disc. The two driving discs are connected fixedly in terms of rotation to one another with the input shaft. The driven disc is connected fixedly in terms of rotation to the hollow shaft arranged concentrically to the input shaft. The hollow shaft is supported axially, at least in one direction, with respect to a transmission case by a bearing.

Motor vehicle transmission with a toroidal variable-speed drive unit

In a variable-speed transmission arrangement, a continuously variable toroidal transmission and a planetary aggregating transmission are arranged in the power path between an input shaft and a coaxial output shaft. A central intermediate shaft is mounted to the input shaft for rotation therewith and to an input disc of the toroidal transmission. A planet carrier is connected firmly to the central intermediate shaft which passes through a concentric intermediate shaft, to which an output disc of the toroidal transmission and a second transmission member of the output transmission are connected. A third transmission member of the aggregating transmission is connectable to the output shaft, by means of a first clutch in a low mode, and a fourth transmission member of the aggregating transmission is connectable to the output shaft by means of a second clutch in an upper driving mode. The input shaft can be drive-connected to the output shaft at a constant overall transmission ratio by means of a third clutch, so as to bypass the toroidal transmission.

Speed change transmission arrangement including a continuously variable toroidal transmission

A transmission for a motor vehicle, such as a motor vehicle EVT, is configures so that the number of teeth of the first planet gear of the epicycloidal gear train, operatively connected to the output toroidal disks by the first sun gear, and of an output element of the epicycloidal gear train form a ratio not equal to one. The transmission ratio of the toroid variator can be varied in such a way, and the number of teeth of the first planet gear of the epicycloidal gear train and of an output element of the epicycloidal gear train are configured in such a way that an output shaft speed approximating zero can be selected according to the variator.

Continuously variable vehicle transmission

In a transmission arrangement including a continuously variable toroidal drive mechanism, an intermediate planetary gear train and a final planetary gear train which are arranged in the power path between an input shaft and an output shaft, a central intermediate shaft is connected to the input shaft and to a central drive disc of the toroidal drive mechanism, and to a planet carrier of the intermediate gear train. A concentric intermediate shaft, through which the central intermediate shaft extends, is connected to a central driven disc of the toroidal drive mechanism and to a sun gear of the intermediate gear train. The concentric intermediate shaft has a drive connection to a first mechanism link of the final gear train in the form of a sun gear. An outer ring gear of the intermediate gear train has a drive connection to a second mechanism link of the final gear train. A third mechanism link of the final gear train is mounted on a housing part. A fourth mechanism link of the final gear train has a drive connection to the output shaft, this arrangement providing for high efficiency with a coaxial arrangement of the transmission components.
