A method for estimating a torque of a three-phase motor for a vehicle includes measuring a respective current strength in at least two of three phase lines, wherein the three-phase motor is supplied with power by a converter, and wherein the three phase lines lead from the converter to the three-phase motor of the vehicle, measuring a respective voltage at each of the three phase lines, determining a rotating field frequency as a function of the measured current strengths or the measured voltages; and determining an estimated value for the torque as a function of the measured current strengths, the measured voltages and the determined rotating field frequency.

A pitch system of a wind energy system includes an emergency energy store for moving a rotor blade into a safety position in the event of the failure of an external energy supply. The emergency energy store can be tested, for example to assess aging, by supplying electrical energy to an actuating device configured to set a pitch angle of a rotor blade even in a normal operating mode of the wind energy system temporarily exclusively from the emergency energy store. This configuration ensures reliable operation of a wind energy system.

The invention relates to a synchronous clocked communication system, for example a distributed automation system, the stations of which can be arbitrary automation components and which are coupled to one another via a data network. Using the disclosed method for integrating decentralized input/output modules, these decentralized input/output modules can be linked into the synchronous clocked communication system in such a manner that they can use their characteristics unrestrictedly. Thus, in particular, the detection of input signals and the output of output signals is possible in a deterministic and synchronous manner in the decentralized input/output modules. In addition, the disclosed method enables input signals to be detected with an accuracy of less than the length of one communication cycle of the communication system and to support the switching of output signals in smaller time granularities than the length of one communication cycle which, in particular, finds use, e.g. for switching cams.

A receiving unit is more precisely synchronized to a transmitting unit by transmitting synchronization signals from the transmitting unit, adjusting a clock-pulse generator of a phase-locked loop, a phase shifter integrating instantaneous phase errors to an integration value, and adjusting the integration value to an integration fraction that is less than one.
