A disc brake runs wet by use of cooling fluid, in particular for a road vehicle, and includes stationary stator discs arranged in parallel to and at a distance from one other, and between which in each case a rotatable rotor disc is arranged. During braking, the radially extending stator discs and rotor discs can be pressed against one another, closing an air gap and, after the brake has been released, can be separated from one another, forming the air gap. The brake is designed such that the rotor discs have cooling channels which can be filled with cooling fluid immediately before or at the start of braking.

Wet-running multiple disc brake and system

A wet-running multi-disc brake includes stator discs, which are arranged in parallel to and at a distance from each other in a rotationally fixed manner, and a rotatable rotor disc positioned in each case between the stator discs. The radially extending stator discs and rotor discs can be pressed against one another during braking by way of a brake application device while overcoming a clearance. The wet-running multi-disc brake is designed such that the brake application device can be mechanically actuated and, via an actuating unit, engages a self-energizing device, which includes a pressure ring that can be pressed towards the rotor discs during braking independently from the rotational direction of the rotor discs.

Wet-running multi-disc brake

A disc brake, particularly for a commercial vehicle, includes a brake caliper configured as a sliding caliper, two brake pads, which are disposed in the brake caliper, at least one guide spar for fastening the brake caliper to a stationary carrier, a brake application device, effective via at least one adjusting spindle, an adjusting device, which is non-rotatably connected to the adjusting spindle, for compensating brake pad wear, and a restoring device, disposed on the action side and having a restoring element that is elastically deformable if the brake caliper is displaced as a function of the braking operation and by which the caliper can be automatically brought into a starting position. The disc brake is configured such that the restoring device has a supporting part, which remains in position relative to the brake anchor plate if the brake caliper is displaced as a function of the braking operation, and which interacts with the resilient restoring element.

Disk brake for a commercial vehicle

A self-energizing disc brake includes a brake caliper held on a fixed brake carrier, an active-side and a reaction-side brake pad, which may be pressed against a brake disc, an actuating device with a self-energizing device and an adjuster device for compensating pad and/or disc wear. The self-energizing device has at least one pressure ram, in contact on the front face with the active-side pad by way of a split bearing and fixed by the end thereof facing the brake pad to a guide plate movably held in the brake carrier, designed such that the split bearing is enclosed by a seal arrangement when the self-energizing device is in a non-functioning state.

Self-energizing disc brake and brake pad for the same

A pneumatic disc brake has a caliper which straddles a brake disc, brake pads pressable against the brake disc, wherein a brake-application-side brake pad can be actuated by a brake lever of a brake application device pivotable about an eccentric axis. Against the end side, the brake lever bears a brake ram which is coupled at the other side to the brake pad or to a guide plate coupled thereto. Two pressure rams are aligned in the same direction and spaced apart from the brake ram. The pressure rams are connected in each case to the caliper and to the brake pad or to the guide plate and have a self-energizing device. The caliper has spherical-cap-shaped bearing receptacles in which rest corresponding plain bearing elements, by which the brake lever, and the pressure rams are supported on the caliper.

Pneumatically actuable disc brake

A hydraulic disc brake includes at least one brake piston that acts upon a brake pad and a parking brake mechanism. A return piston is accommodated in a piston head having a recess. The piston head faces the brake pad.

Hydraulic disc brake having a parking brake mechanism

A disc brake includes a brake caliper which engages over a brake disc and which has a caliper head and a caliper back connected thereto by tension struts. Brake pads are received in the brake caliper, are radially secured by a retaining bracket that extends in the axial direction of the brake disc, and can be forced against both sides of the brake disc. The disc brake further includes a measuring device which is connected to an evaluation unit for determining the brake application force and which is designed such that the measuring device has two base elements that can be displaced relative each other in the direction of brake application, one of the elements being a sensor and the other being a corresponding element actively connected thereto. One base element is arranged on the retaining bracket which is clamped on one side of the caliper head or on the caliper back and the other base element is arranged on the brake caliper on the side opposite the side on which the retaining bracket is clamped.

Disc brake

A method is provided for actuating a wet multiple disc brake, running with cooling oil, especially for a road vehicle. Stationary and rotating radially oriented discs are pressed against one another during braking while overcoming a clearance. The method is characterized in that once the brake is released, the discs associated with each other are separated from each other to such an extent as to form an oil-free or substantially oil-free clearance, wherein the clearance is minimized prior to braking by advancing the discs towards each another.

Method for actuating a wet multiple disc brake and a wet multiple disc brake

A pneumatic disc brake includes a caliper which straddles a brake disc, brake pads pressable against the brake disc and a rotary lever actuated brake application device, and a self-energizing mechanism. The brake lever is pivotable about an eccentric axis by a brake cylinder plunger. A self-energizing factor is selected to ensure that the brake automatically releases after braking events. The brake lever is supported on a spherical bearing element mounted to the caliper and forming the eccentric axis. The brake lever bears against a bearing ball which is arranged above the bearing element in the direction of the plunger engagement point, which bearing ball is positioned in a brake ram coupled to the brake pad.

A brake system, in particular a dual circuit brake system, for a motor vehicle, includes brakes which can be activated by a brake pedal operatively connected to a brake servo. Each brake engages one wheel. The brake system is designed such that a brake servo is assigned to each brake of at least one brake circuit, and the brake servos can be activated by the brake pedal.

Power brake system for a motor vehicle

A disc brake, especially for a commercial vehicle, includes a caliper extending across a brake disc and a brake application device which can be used to force a brake pad against the brake disc by at least one actuating spindle that is guided in the caliper, in correspondence with an associated thrust piece. The disc brake is designed such that the thrust piece consists at least partially of a duroplastic material. A cap is interposed between faces of the actuating spindle and the thrust piece, oriented toward one another and forming contact surfaces. The walls of the cap enclose a projection of the thrust piece.

Disc brake for a commercial vehicle

A pneumatically actuatable disc brake has a caliper straddling a brake disc. One brake pad on an application side being actuatable by a rotary lever of a brake application device. A brake cylinder, which can be pressurized using air pressure, is attached to a flange of calliper. The brake cylinder engages into the rotary lever via a cylinder plunger and has a return spring for returning the cylinder plunger to an unstressed initial position. The return spring abuts against the base of a cover supported on the flange. The disc brake is configured such that a self-energizing device is provided having a self-energizing factor selected such that the brake automatically releases itself after braking. The flange forms an abutment for the return spring.

Pneumatically actuatable disc brake and brake cylinder

A Self-energizing disk brake having an electric actuator for applying an actuating force is described. The brake has a self-energizing device for boosting the electric actuator, arranged between the actuator and the brake lining, and a brake application unit for applying at least one brake lining to one side of a brake disk. The application movement of the brake lining to the brake disk is resolvable into at least one parallel movement component and at least one movement component extending one of tangentially and perpendicularly relative to the brake disk rotational axis. The brake also includes at least one electric motor drive for actuating the brake application unit, which has a crank with a crank pin extending parallel to the brake disk axis and serving to move the brake lining unit tangentially with respect to the brake disk, parallel to the friction face of the brake disk.

Self-energizing disk brake

A hydraulically actuated disc brake has at least two hydraulic brake pistons acting upon a brake lining, arranged in a brake housing. The hydraulic disc brake includes a hydraulic synchronization device for reducing oblique wear of the brake lining. The hydraulic synchronization device is interposed between an input pressure line for brake actuation and the brake piston.

Hydraulically actuated multi-piston disc brake

A disc brake is provided having an electromechanical actuator, which is designed as an electric motor, for actuating a brake application device for applying the brake, which disc brake has a self-energizing device, characterized in that the electric motor acts directly or via a gearing on a rotary lever which acts on at least one brake piston which moves a brake pad parallel to the brake disc rotational axis, which brake pad is moveable both in the direction parallel to the brake disc rotational axis and also parallel to the brake disc friction face.
