A temperature-control device for receiving of laboratory vessels has a hollow housing with a temperature-control medium. The temperature-control device is thermally conditioned before use, and during use, the conditioned thermal energy is, in a finite time period, either absorbed from the laboratory vessels or transferred to same. The lower part of the housing has a base and the upper part of the housing has, opposite to said base, a receiving region which, in an upward direction, delimits the hollow internal region of the housing. In the receiving region, depressions directed inward serve as receivers for the laboratory vessels to be temperature-controlled. The hollow housing has an air space separated from the internal region. In the internal region, the temperature-control medium flows at least partially around and/or through a horizontally extending absorber element, and said absorber element is connected to the receiving region in thermally conductive manner.

Temperature-regulating device for laboratory vessels

A housing for a laboratory appliance with a floor, ceiling, rear wall, side walls and front wall, which together enclose a work space. The front wall is movable between closed position and open positions. A work area in which liquids can be handled is provided in the work space. A filter device for ambient air is connected to the work space via at least one air outlet. At least one air inlet is connected to the environment, and a fan and an air filter are located downstream from the air inlet and upstream from the air outlet. An outflow opening is also located on the housing. The at least one air outlet and the at least one outflow opening are arranged on the housing such that, during operation of the filter device, the filter air stream flows substantially parallel to and along the work area.

Housing for a laboratory appliance

A method for calibrating and controlling a pipetting device for metered liquid with a multichannel, automated micrometering unit. All of the channels of the pipetting device are calibrated using a camera which detects the expelled droplets of the liquid, so that the volume thereof can be determined by means of a control device. The method makes it possible to carry out a calibration of the individually dispensed liquid volumes in droplet form to a prescribed volume deviation with a different number of possibly necessary repetitions for each individual channel.

Method for controlling a pipetting device

A pipetting apparatus for aspirating and dispensing liquids having a pipetting unit with an interchangeable vessel that receives a liquid to be transferred, a holder for the pipetting unit, a positioning device for the pipetting unit, a micrometering unit, and an electronic control device. The micrometering unit is embodied separately from the pipetting unit and has a separate electronic control unit. The pipetting unit has a coupling device and the micrometering unit has a counterpart coupling device that matches the coupling device for the purpose of coupling. Coupling device and/or counterpart coupling device is/are switchable. The holder or the micrometering unit has a contact device with at least one electrical contact element and the micrometering unit or the holder has a counterpart contact device, matching the contact device, with at least one counterpart electrical contact element for making electrical contact with the contact element.

Pipetting apparatus for aspirating and dispensing liquids

A pipette device having a pipette unit (), a positioning unit (), a micro-dosing unit () and a control device (). The micro-dosing unit () is implemented separately from the pipette unit (). However, it can be coupled to the pipette unit () in a precisely defined relative position. The pipette unit () thus has a coupling device () and the micro-dosing unit () has a corresponding counter-coupling device (). One of the two devices can be switched. By switching the coupling device () and/or the counter-coupling device (), the micro-dosing unit () can be coupled to the pipette unit () or decoupled from the pipette unit () as desired. If the micro-dosing unit () is coupled to the pipette unit (), it can be moved to different operating positions together with the pipette unit ().

Pipette device having a micro-dosing unit

A housing for a laboratory device, having floor, ceiling, rear, side, and front walls, which together form an operating chamber, wherein the front wall is movable upward and downward between a lowered closed position and a raised open position in a linear and simultaneously pivoting manner and, in the open position of the front wall, the operating chamber is open on the front side of the housing. The top wall section having top and bottom wall sections connected about a first pivot axis and transitions in an arc shape to a plate-shaped connection section extending at an angle to the top wall section, or is connected thereto in an angularly rigid manner, and a connection section is hinged in a pivoting manner to the ceiling on the edge thereof distant from the top wall section parallel to the first pivot axis, at a distance from the front wall.

Housing for a laboratory instrument

A piston-operated pipette with a drive unit with a piston drive and a displacement unit mounted on the drive unit, the displacement unit being dismountable from the drive unit, the drive unit having an actuating drive for the piston drive and a receiving section for the displacement unit. The displacement unit has a fastening section which fits the receiving section of the drive unit, there being a first detachable mechanical connection between the actuating drive and the piston drive and there being a second detachable mechanical connection between the receiving section of the drive unit and the fastening section of the displacement unit. The second detachable mechanical connection is made as a magnetic connection. A mechanical arrangement for breaking the magnetic connection is provided between the receiving section and the fastening section, the magnetic connection being releasable by actuating the arrangement for breaking the magnetic connection.

Piston-operated pipette with interchangeable displacement unit

A pipette for a pipette system comprising a pipette and a syringe. The pipette housing has a longitudinal axis. A syringe to be handled with the pipette is insertable with its fastening portion and plunger head into the pipette housing and is removable or discardable from said pipette housing in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the pipette housing, i.e., axially. The syringe has as cylinder and a plunger with a plunger head which projects out of the end of the cylinder even when the plunger has been completely inserted into the cylinder. A pipette housing comprises an axially accessible plunger gripping device for the plunger head of the syringe. An actuating device for the plunger gripping device is mounted on the plunger displacing device and is axially displaceable with said adjusting device.
