The present disclosure relates to a method for emotion-triggered capturing of audio and/or image data by an audio and/or image capturing device. The method includes receiving and analyzing a time-sequential set of data including first physiological data representing a first physiological parameter corresponding to a first person, a second physiological data representing a second physiological parameter corresponding to a second person, and voice audio data including a voice of at least one of the first and the second person, to determine whether a simultaneous change of emotional state of a first person and a second person occurs and transmitting a trigger signal to the capturing device. Method and system for emotion-triggered capturing of audio and/or image data

A voltage reference generator comprises a voltage reference, a variable gain amplifier connected to an output terminal of the voltage reference, a sampling capacitor connected to an output terminal of the voltage reference generator and to an output terminal of the variable gain amplifier via a sampling switch. The switch is adapted to close during a first portion of a switching period, and open during a second portion of the switching period. The voltage reference generator also comprises a ripple monitor adapted to estimate a magnitude of variation of an output voltage of the voltage reference generator resulting from charging and discharging of the sampling capacitor, and based on the estimate, perform one of control of the sampling switch to reduce a switching frequency of the sampling switch to increase a magnitude of the variation of the output voltage, and control of the sampling switch to increase the switching frequency.

Voltage reference generator and a method for controlling a magnitude of a variation of an output voltage of a voltage reference generator

An energy harvesting circuit is based on a switch mode inductive DC-DC converter circuit. The inductor current is sensed and a duration of an on-time is controlled in dependence on the sensed inductor current. A duration of an overall switching period of the converter circuit is controlled in dependence on an on-time set by a first timing control circuit and input and output voltages. This converter circuit enables independent control of the on-time and a full period of a converter cycle. Very rapid switching can be avoided which can give rise to very high energy consumption. The full cycle period can be set to achieve a desired constant value of an input resistance of the DC-DC converter, and thereby maximize power transfer.

Energy harvesting circuit and method

A DC-DC converter and a method of controlling an inductor-based switching-mode DC-DC converter in a discontinuous conduction mode are disclosed. In one aspect the method includes providing a DC-DC converter having a first and second switching elements, and, in each conversion cycle, first, turning on a first switching element, while maintaining a second switching element in off state, thereby increasing the current through an inductor. The method also includes detecting when a voltage signal at one connection node of the inductor reaches a first threshold value for the first time after the start of the conversion cycle, and turning on the second switching element, while maintaining the first switching element in off state, thereby decreasing the inductor current.
