A seat support and a method for obtaining same includes a support body made from polymeric materials derived from castor oil, a padding positioned on said body, and a coating that covers the padding. The padding includes at least one layer of foam made at least in part from a component derived from renewable sources and/or of natural origin like palm oil, castor oil, soybean oil, colza oil, or in general a vegetable oil, and it can include a layer and/or insert made from gel obtained by adding in dispersion with a polyolic and or isocyanic component, possible particles of cork and possible compatibilizing agents to maintain the continuity of the polymeric characteristics with the coating and promote sticking. The coating includes a polymer formed from castor oil. The seat support according to the present invention is therefore environmentally-friendly, biodegradable, easy to recycle and/or dispose of.

The frame () has one or more portions (&#x2033;) having a different deformability from that of the rest of the frame (). A human body support includes a composite material base frame having a top surface and a bottom surface, and a cover element formed from a first polymer material associated to the base frame. The support also includes a film of a second thermoplastic polymer material, which is fixedly attached to the base frame. The second thermoplastic material has an affinity for the first polymer material so that the cover element may be fixedly attached to the base frame, thereby forming an integral support. A polyurethane gel may be disposed in a recess of the base frame. The first polymer material has a thickness of 0.1 to 0.3 mm, the second material has a thickness of 0.01 to 0.025 mm, and both may be optically transparent.

Composite material human body support and process for making same

A human body support comprises a composite material base frame () having a top surface () and a bottom surface () and a cover element '() formed from a first polymer material () associated to the base frame (). The support further comprises at least one film of a second thermoplastic polymer material () which is fixedly attached to the base frame (). The second thermoplastic material () has an affinity with the first polymer material () so that the cover element may be fixedly attached to the base frame, thereby forming an integral support. A polymethane gel () may be disposed in a recess of the base frame (). The first polymer material () has a thickness of 0.1 to 0.3 mm, and the second material () has a thickness of 0.01 to 0.025 mm, both may be optically transparent.

A bicycle saddle structure includes a load-bearing shell having an elongate front portion, a widened rear portion and a bottom surface with a front seat and a rear seat which are formed at a predetermined minimum distance (dMu\l) therebetween, rails with a rear end portion, and a front end portion which is designed to interact with the front seat of the shell. The rails have a maximum longitudinal extension (Ir) longer than the predetermined minimum distance (dMu\l) between the seats. The structure includes a cam linkage member which is designed to be interposed between the front seat of the shell and the front portion of the rails to cause the shell to be snap fitted to the rails. A method of assembly of the above bicycle saddle structure is also provided.

A seating structure, particularly a bicycle saddle, includes a load-bearing shell and a cover element for contact with a user. The shell includes a first base element made from a composite material composed of a synthetic polymeric matrix and a natural fiber-containing reinforcement. Customizable modular handle structure for sports equipment

A human body supporting structure, particularly a bicycle saddle, includes a load-bearing shell having a topside designed to face towards a user and an underside designed to face a bicycle frame. The shell includes at least one continuous sheet element having at least one differently deformable portion located at particularly stressed regions of the user's body. The sheet element is formed of a thermoplastic resin matrix with reinforcement fibers embedded therein. The differently deformable portions have a smaller thickness (Si) and a locally greater average density (pi) than the rest of the extension of the shell, said portions are formed in a thermoforming step wherein a local thickness reduction is carried out by compression and by heating said sheet element to a temperature near the melting temperature of the thermoplastic matrix. A method of making such support structure is further provided.

Human body supporting structure, particularly bicycle saddle and method of making same

An ultra light multilayer saddle structure, particularly for pedal-driven vehicles, includes a support frame optionally covered with a resilient padding. The frame has a first skin and a second skin, between which a spacer core is interposed. The first and the second skin include at least one layer of a first material and one layer of a second material respectively, selected among those having a predetermined density and a relatively high compressive and shear strength. The core has at least one layer of a third material whose density is lower than that of the first and second materials. The core is adapted to keep the skins spaced-apart, to increase the stiffness and mechanical strength of the frame, while reducing the overall weight thereof. A process for making a frame for the saddle structure is provided.

The present invention finds application in the field of support structures, and particularly relates to a seat structure, particularly for cycle and human body support frames. The structure comprises a support element () having a lower surface () and an upper surface (), the latter being designed to support at least partially the weight of a user, and anchor means () associated to the support element () for anchorage thereof to a bicycle or human body support frame (T) in a longitudinally and/or angularly and/or vertically adjustable position. The anchor means () include at least one longitudinal extension (), which extends downwards from said support element () and has at least one substantially horizontal member (), designed to be clamped by at least one substantially horizontal clamping member (S), which is associated to the frame (T), and acts in a substantially vertical direction.

A customizable seating structure, designed to be connected to a movable or stationary frame. The structure comprises a seat element () which has a top surface, designed to at least partly contact a user, and a support element () underlying the seat element () and designed to be connected to the movable or stationary frame (T). The seat element () is removably attached to said support element () to allow removal and/or replacement thereof by a user. The seat element () is attached to the support element () by screws () and nuts () or press-fit of pins () in holes (). The present invention finds application in the field of sport and leisure accessories, and particularly relates to a seat structure having controlled and customizable elasticity, particularly for vehicles. The structure, which is designed to be connected to a movable or stationary frame, includes a support element having a bottom surface and a top surface, which is designed to support at least partly a user, a connection member to be associated to the support element for anchorage thereof to the movable or stationary frame, and at least one shock absorbing element, which is designed to absorb shocks and vibrations transmitted from the frame to the support element. The shock absorbing element includes an elastic member, which has a first elasticity modulus, and which is provided between the bottom surface of the support element and the connection member. Moreover, the elastic member has at least one seat for a corresponding insert, which has a second elasticity modulus, and which may be added by a user to control and selectively adjust the overall elasticity of the shock absorbing element.
