The system comprises a rotary turbomachine, including dry gas seals. A seal leak gas collecting line fluidly connects the at dry gas seals to the seal leak gas inlet of the ejector. A seal leak gas discharging line fluidly couples the dry gas seals with a seal leak gas discharge at a discharge pressure, lower than the seal leak gas pressure. A leak discharge control valve along the seal leak gas discharging line is adapted to divert at least part of the seal leak gas in the seal leak gas discharging line. Also, a method for recovering seal gas leaking from a dry gas seal arrangement is disclosed.

Seal leak gas recovery system using an ejector and method

A mounting system for supporting rotating machinery is described. The system comprises a base frame having an upper side for mounting the rotating machinery, and a lower side. A set of main supporting members are arranged according to a triangular arrangement and forming a three-point mounting arrangement defining a mounting plane. Moreover, a set of auxiliary supporting members, having a variable stiffness in at least one direction, are provided and are configured and arranged such as to increase the stiffness thereof when the base frame is subject to an overload, thus reducing load on the main supporting members.

Method for laterally replacing a heavy component of a plant assembly, the method including disconnecting the heavy component from other components of the plant assembly and from a base plate to which the heavy component is fixed; lifting the heavy component above the base plate with a lifting system provided within the base plate; connecting at least a pair of rails to the base plate, under the lifted heavy component, such that the at least a pair of rails extends at substantially a right angle relative to a longitudinal axis of the heavy component; lowering the heavy component on crawling mechanisms disposed on the at least a pair of rails; and laterally replacing the heavy component from the base plate and the other components of the plant assembly by actuating the crawling mechanisms.

Method for moving and aligning heavy device

An operation method for a gas turbine is provided which includes compressing a working fluid by a compressor, feeding this compressed working fluid into at least one combustion chamber where it is overheated, expanding this overheated working fluid in at least one expansion turbine to produce energy, carrying out a first tapping of the compressed work fluid from the compressor to feed it into a first cavity of the turbine for cooling, carrying out a second tapping of the working fluid downstream from the first tapping to feed it into a second cavity of the turbine upstream from the first cavity, for cooling, and fluidly connecting the first tapping to the second tapping to selectively feed the first tapping by a part of the second tapping during partial load operation conditions to keep the temperature of the first cavity within the acceptable limits for the resistance of the materials.
