An optoelectronic system for checking the relative attitude of component parts of an HSA () including a base (); a reference system () connected to the base and having a stationary support () adapted to cooperate with positioning surfaces () of the HSA, and a floating device () which floats with respect to the stationary support and is adapted to cooperate with working surfaces () of the HSA; an optoelectronic detection device; and a processing unit for receiving and processing signals of the optoelectronic detection device. The floating device includes a floating element () adapted to cooperate with the optoelectronic detection device. A method for checking the relative attitude of component parts of a mechanical piece by means of an optoelectronic system includes the steps of referring a first component part of the HSA to the reference system; locking the HSA at a checking position; bringing the floating device with the floating element () to contact a second component part of the HSA; and carrying out dimensional and positional checkings of component parts of the floating element () by means of the optoelectronic system.

Apparatus and method for checking component parts of a mechanical piece

The supply of consumables and other materials to production machines in a system for the manufacture of tobacco products is managed using a method whereby, once a nominal target number of products has been programmed at a master control unit, a tally is kept of the number of products emerging from the machine located farthest downstream, and a corresponding signal relayed back to the master control unit, together with a signal indicating the consumption of the various types of material. On the basis of the information received, the master control unit will process an output message indicating the requirement for at least one given type of consumable or wrapping or other auxiliary material to be supplied, whereupon the message is sent to an operator entrusted with the task of replacing the depleted material.

A method and unit for flexing a flat blank having preformed fold lines; the flat blank is fed by a seat on a conveyor along a path through a flexing station, where a rigid folding body is rolled over the seat to fold the blank against two fixed folding spindles of the seat and about the preformed fold lines; and, on leaving the flexing station, the blank is allowed to spring back to its flat shape.
