Yarn processing system for simultaneously processing a plurality of yarns in a processing machine, such as a twisting machine, a texturizing machine, or a dyeing machine. A yarn tensioning assembly is provided and has, for each yarn entering the processing machine, at least an individual controlled tensioner and an individual tensiometer. The controlled tensioner and the tensiometer are integrated into a closed yarn tension feedback regulation loop for regulating and maintaining a set yarn tension. The tensiometer is connected in parallel to one superimposed common tension monitoring and setting system for centrally setting and monitoring the yarn tension.

Tensiometer for measuring the force imparted by a yarn on a bending element which is secured in a fixation, having a unitary oscillation-damping element made of an intrinsically damping material like rubber or an elastomer, the unitary damping element including a base body secured to the bending element and at least one oscillation body which can oscillate, at least substantially in the direction of the deflection of the bending element, in relation to the base body and to the bending element, and further having an energy dissipation zone between the base body and the oscillation body.

Yarn tensiometer

A tensiometer for measuring thread tension, provided with a bending element fixed at one end and tensioned at the other end by the thread, at least one sensor element and damping device for oscillating the bending element. The damping device has at least one mass damper fixed to the bending element by means of a spring body.

Tensiometer

In a monitoring device used for the weft thread of a weaving machine, which comprises at least one insertion element having a thread clip movable to a thread-release position, and comprising a weft thread detector, which is used for monitoring the movement of the weft thread and which, during each insertion, is activated only for an observation interval ending at least approximately with the release of the inserted weft thread by the thread clip, an electric sensor (S) is provided in an opening device (B) arranged in the weaving machine and used for opening the thread clip (G) of the insertion element, said sensor (S) responding to the release position of the thread clip with a signal (i) representative of the end of the observation interval.

Weft thread monitoring device

A method of monitoring the weft yarn run/stop conditions during each insertion cycle in a shuttle-less weaving machine like a rapier or projectile weaving machine by means of an electronic weft yarn feeler generating run output signals representing said weft yarn run condition, said weft yarn feeler including means to adjust the working sensitivity level, comprises that the present working sensitivity level effectively used for confirming run output signals continuously and automatically is adjusted during operation of the weaving machine to oscillate about an optimum and safe working sensitivity level by observing within a predetermined restricted observation interval of each insertion cycle the signal stability at an observation sensitivity level lower than the present working sensitivity level and by lowering or raising both said present working and observation sensitivity levels in dependence from output signal stability.

Method for monitoring weft yarn run/stop conditions

A method and apparatus for monitoring run/stop conditions of a yarn, particularly in a knitting or warping machine utilizing a yarn feeler. The yarn feeler includes an electronic, yarn actuated transducer operating with variable gain amplification of run input signals which are further processed to final output signals representing the run/stop conditions. The amplification gain for the run input signal is automatically electronically controlled with a time delay and is adjusted towards a floating minimum which is just sufficient to derive stable final output signals. The, reaction time delay allows compensation for naturally occurring parametric fluctuations of the run input signal, while a sudden drop of the run input signal due to yarn breakage is processed to a final output stop signal.
