An integrated mail and file transfer (IMFT) system is a web-based data transport system including automatic and authenticated access mechanisms. The integrated mail and file transfer system includes an attachment filter, a message & file control server and data storage. The attachment filter receives emails, and for each email generates a metadata file and one or more content files. The metadata and content files are provided to the message & file control server for storage, indexing and further processing. The message & file control server includes a control module, an account creation module, a user interface module, an access control module, an attachment processing module, and a file store and database interaction module. These modules operate on the message & file control server to provide the functionality for automatically creating user accounts, automatically providing access to file, and automatically storing files and emails. The present invention also includes a number of novel methods including: a method for automatically creating an account and authentication, a method for accessing files via a web based transport system, a method for modifying the access to files, and method for processing emails and storing email bodies and attachments.

System and method for data transport

A method, system and apparatus for the monitoring, diagnosis and evaluation of the state of a dynamic system is disclosed. This method and system provides the processing means for receiving sensed and/or simulated data, converting such data into a displayable object format and displaying such objects in a manner such that the interrelationships between the respective variables can be correlated and identified by a user. This invention provides for the rapid cognitive grasp of the overall state of a critical function with respect to a dynamic system. The system provides for displayed objects which change in real-time to show the changes of the functions of the system. It is a highly flexible system which works with a wide variety of applications, including biological systems, environmental systems, engineering systems, economic systems, mechanical systems, chemical systems and the like.

Method and apparatus for monitoring dynamic systems using n-dimensional representations of critical functions

A visualization system for heterogeneous data sets comprises: a unique visualization interface created by a visualization engine. The visualization interface comprises a first area defining a center of attention, second area defining a parameter space and a plurality of correlation elements. The first area is a two-dimensional space for the display of items of interest. The second area provides a space in which parameters associated with the items of interest can be displayed. The correlation elements indicate relationships and their strength between items of interest and parameters in the second area. The visualization engine preferably comprises an input module, a control module, a retrieving module, a rendering module, and an analysis module. These components are coupled together to receive input from a user, retrieve data from a data source, and present the unique visualization interface to the user.
