A container for consumer goods is provided, including a box including a bottom wall, two side walls, a back box wall, a front wall, a movable container back wall, and a lid. The movable container back wall depends along a first fold line from the box, is movable about the first fold line between an open position and a closed position, and at least partially overlies the back box wall when in the closed position. The lid depends along a hinge line from the movable container back wall and is movable between the open and the closed positions. A first and a second compartment each configured to receive the consumer goods are located in the box, the first compartment is accessible when the lid is in the open position, and the second compartment is accessible when both the lid and the movable container back wall are in respective open positions.

A machine for forming boxes which have at least a main body with the possibility of also having a lid hinged to it, from flat blanks, comprises a carousel () rotating about its own axis of rotation (), a plurality of pick up and transfer arms () mounted radially on the carousel () and able to rotate with it about the axis of rotation () and a plurality of operating stations () positioned along a circular path (P) described by the arms (). The operating stations comprise at least a pick up station () for the blanks (), a gumming station (), a folding station () and a station () for releasing the at least partly formed boxes. Each arm () comprises a pick up element () able to slide radially away from the carousel () to pick up the blank () directly from the pick up station () and to accompany the box () as far as a supporting surface () at the releasing station ().

A method and machine for labelling a succession of containers, whereby each container is identified to assign to the container one of a number of possible types, and the container is then fed along a labelling path through a number of labelling stations, each of which applies respective labels to containers falling within a respective category, and is activated to apply the label to the container if the container falls within the respective category.

A labelling and/or marking machine () comprises a carousel () rotatable about a vertical axis (), equipped peripherally with a set of pedestals () driven by respective motors () and supporting single containers (), also applicator and/or marker devices () occupying positions along a conveying path () followed by the containers (). Each pedestal () is flanked by a corresponding CCD image sensor () such as will scan the lateral surface () of the container () to detect and recognize a known outline () presented by the surface (), whereupon the pedestal () is made to rotate through a predetermined angle and thus bring the relative container () into the position required by the applicator and/or marker devices ().

Labelling and/or marking machine

Confectionery products () are packaged singly in double twist wraps () prepared from a strip () coated with first longitudinal bands () and second transverse bands () of adhesive, the transverse bands spaced apart to create adhesive-free zones () offered in direct contact to the products (), and caused to advance along a set path (P) in a given feed direction (D). The strip is prepared with an easy tear point (A) on each second adhesive band (), consisting of a first notch () extending parallel to the longitudinal axis of the strip () and a second notch () superimposed on the first notch (); the strip () is then cut transversely along the second bands () to generate single leaves (), each presenting an indentation () and a projection () generated by the second notch (). The leaf () is folded around the product () to produce a hermetically sealed wrap () designed to tear open from the notches.

In a machine () for filling containers with fluid products, different fluid substances are directed by means of a rotary valve assembly () into a tank () furnished with separate compartments (), isolated one from another and equipped each with at least one filler valve () by which a given quantity of one of the fluid substances is dispensed from the tank () into each container.

Containers () for food products are manufactured employing a system that includes a feed station () supplying a succession of tubular elements (), and a heat sealer () positioned to close and secure a first open end () of each tubular element () that coincides with the base of the container. The sealing operation occurs at a station associated with a conveyor () consisting in a wheel () rotatable in a feed direction (B) along a path (P) passing both through the feed station () and through the station occupied by the heat sealer (). The tubular elements () are carried by radial elements () of the wheel () such as can be indexed between a first operating position, where the tubular elements () are taken up from the feed station (), and a second operating position in which the open end () is offered to the heat sealer ().

System for forming containers

A system () for manufacturing containers () is designed around a supporting structure () with which all the stations () and the devices () needed to produce the containers are associated. The system () is equipped with a feed station () supplying a forming material (), a scoring station () by which crease lines () are generated, and a cutting station (), combining to prepare a succession of blanks (). The system () also includes a prefolding station () where each blank () is bent initially along the creases lines (), a folding station () where the single blank () is fashioned to the shape of the container (), and a sealing or welding station () at which the shape of the container () is fixed definitively.

System for manufacturing containers

A machine for filling containers with liquid or particulate material, wherein a carousel conveyor, rotating continuously about an axis, supports a number of supporting and weighing heads, each of which is independent of the other supporting and weighing heads and supports a respective container beneath a respective feed device for supplying the fill material; and wherein each supporting and weighing head is connected structurally and functionally to the carousel conveyor by a respective fast-fit connecting/disconnecting device.

Container filling machine

A rotary unit, of an FFS (Form, Fill and Seal) machine, for ultrasound sealing a continuous tubular strip housing an orderly succession of products and fed along a feed path extending through a sealing station; the rotary unit having two substantially identical rotors located on opposite sides of the feed path, and which rotate in opposite directions about respective axes, and have respective pitch surfaces tangent to each other and to the feed path; and an ultrasound sealing head, forming part of one of the two rotors, cooperates at the sealing station with a corresponding anvil forming part of the other rotor, to close the tubular strip along a transverse seal line located at a respective portion of the tubular strip extending between two respective adjacent products.

Products () presenting bevelled or rounded corner edges () are advanced singly and in succession along a predetermined path (P), each enveloped in a wrapper () of parallelepiped box-like shape, and directed ultimately into a station () where each product () is subjected to a finishing step that consists in deforming at least one part of the wrapper () and causing it thus to adhere to the surface of the relative product (), in particular at the bevelled or rounded corner edges (); thereafter, the finished products () are stacked and wrapped in respective stick packs () of which the longitudinal corner edges () will hug the corner edges () of the stacked products (), adapting to the contours of the bevelled or rounded profile.

Method for dispensing fluid substances into containers

A machine () for filling containers () has a carousel conveyor () having a vertical axis () and in turn having a number of filling heads (), and an equal number of seats (), each of which houses a respective container (), is associated with a respective filling head (), and is connected to the carousel conveyor () via the interposition of a weighing device () supported in a fixed position by the carousel conveyor (). Each seat () has a frame (), which supports a gripper () for engaging a top portion () of a respective container (), and a plate () defining a horizontal supporting surface for the bottom of the respective container (), and an adjusting device () for adjusting the vertical position of the plate (), while maintaining the gripper () in a given vertical position close to the respective filling head ().

Machine for filling containers

A rotary conveyor has a supporting shaft rotating about a respective longitudinal axis and having a top attachment end having a radial projection; a bottom platform fitted to the supporting shaft; and a circular top plate having a central opening for fitment to the top attachment end. The circular top plate also has, on its peripheral edge, a number of seats, each for receiving a container to be conveyed resting on the bottom platform. The conveyor also has fastening means for fastening the circular top plate to the supporting shaft. The fastening means include at least one clamp movable between an idle position permitting engagement of the top attachment end by the circular top plate or removal of the circular top plate from the top attachment end of the supporting shaft, and a work position to grip the circular top plate between the radial projection and the clamp. And an actuating member moves the clamp between the work position and the idle position.

Rotary conveyor

Groups of products stacked on edge are wrapped in sealed stick packs by a method that involves passing a sheet () of heat-sealable wrapping material around each group () of products () and sealing the two side edges () in such a way as to fashion a tubular wrapper () with end portions () projecting axially from the assembled group (), then spreading each end portion () flat by inserting a tongue () and heat-sealing each relative pair of flattened edges to render the wrapper airtight. Thereafter, the sealed ends are subjected to a cold crimping action from which each end portion () emerges with two impressed crease lines () positioned to delimit a central portion () that will be folded directly against the corresponding end face of the group (), and two lateral portions () that will be folded inwards over the central portion ().
