The invention pertains to a fluoroelastomer composition comprising a vinylidene-fluoride based fluoroelastomer, a polyhydroxylated compound, a basic compound, a pyridinium-type salt having an aromatic ring-quaternized nitrogen atom, and comprising at least two groups having a central carbon atom which bears acidic hydrogen atoms; and an accelerant, which possesses an improved molding behaviour, leading to shaped parts possessing less blisters and surface defects.

Fluoroelastomer composition

The invention pertains to a fluoroelastomer having a branched structure including long chain branches and including cure-site monomers, and curable composition thereof, able to provide for cured parts having ability to retain outstanding sealing performances at very high temperatures, up to about 350° C., to a method of curing the same and to cured articles obtained therefrom, which are notably useful as sealing parts in semi-conductors industry.

Fluoroelastomer composition for high thermal rating

The invention pertains to a composition based on a fluoroelastomer comprising nitrile or carboxylate-type cure sites and including a curing agent and a Br-containing marker having reactivity towards the said cure-sites, which can be cured so as to deliver cured parts maintaining chemically bound bromine atoms; this material, when submitted to wear/damage would hence release Br-containing contaminants, which can easily spotted via notably an on-line mass spectrometer, so as to monitor and anticipate critical failures of sealing materials based there upon.

The invention pertains to a perfluoroelastomer composition comprising: at least one perfluoroelastomer comprising iodine and/or bromine atoms [perfluoroelastomer (A)]; from 0.5 to 5 weight parts, per 100 parts by weight of said perfluoroelastomer (A), of at least one bis-olefin [bis-olefin (OF)] having general formula (1) wherein R, R, R, R, Rand R, equal or different from each other, are H, a halogen, or a C-Coptionally halogenated group, possibly comprising one or more oxygen group; Z is a linear or branched C-Coptionally halogenated alkylene or cycloalkylene radical, optionally containing oxygen atoms, or a (per)fluoropolyoxyalkylene radical; from 0.1 to 3 weight parts, per 100 parts by weight of said perfluoroelastomer (A), of at least one organic peroxide; from 0.1 to 3 weight parts, per 100 parts by weight of said perfluoroelastomer (A), of at least one organic base [base (B)] selected from the group consisting of: (i) non-aromatic primary amines or amides complying with general formula (B1m) or (Bid): R&#x2014;[C(0)]&#x2014;NH(B1m) HN&#x2014;[C(O)&#x2014;R&#x2014;[C(O)&#x2014;NH(Bid) wherein: each of t, t' and t&#x2033;, equal to or different from each other and at each occurrence is zero or 1; Rbm is a monovalent hydrocarbon non-aromatic group having 12 to 30 carbon atoms; Rdm is a divalent hydrocarbon non-aromatic group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms; and (ii) cycloaliphatic secondary or tertiary amines complying with general formula (II) (B2m) or (B2d) wherein: Cy represents a divalent aliphatic group comprising at least 4 carbon atoms, optionally comprising one or more than one ethylenically unsaturated double bond, and optionally comprising one or more catenary nitrogen atoms, forming a cycle with the nitrogen atom which is connected thereto; Cy&#x2032; represent a trivalent aliphatic group comprising at least 5 carbon atoms, optionally comprising one or more than one ethylenically unsaturated double bond, and optionally comprising one or more catenary nitrogen atoms, forming a cycle with the nitrogen atom which is connected thereto. 

Perfluoroelastomer composition

The invention pertains to a (per)fluoroelastomer composition comprising at least one (per)fluoroelastomer comprising iodine and/or bromine atoms, at least one polyunsaturated compound, at least one organic peroxide and at least one organic compound selected from the group consisting of (thio)urea compounds, cyclic addition products of ammonia or primary amine and aldehyde; (thio)carbamates.

The invention pertains to a method of making cured parts from a composition comprising certain fluoroelastomers and certain bromine-containing compounds under conditions suitable for delivering cured parts possessing outstanding mechanical and sealing properties and incorporating suitable amounts of bromine-containing compounds, so that these cured parts, when submitted to wear/damage would release Br-containing compounds, which can easily detected using appropriate analytical techniques, so as to monitor and anticipate critical failures thereof.

Method of making cured parts

The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a cross-linked polymer comprising reacting at least one polymer having at least one &#x2014;SOX group, with X being F or Cl, a basic compound, and certain salts including a ring-quaternized pyridinium-type nitrogen, and possessing at least two groups in ortho or para position thereto comprising reactive hydrogen atoms; cross-linking has been proven to proceed effectively, delivering cross-linked polymers possessing improved chemical resistance and mechanical performances.
