The invention relates to a repulpable adhesive comprising orthophosphoric acid, to adhesive tapes comprising at least one layer of such an adhesive, and to the use of adhesive tapes of this kind.

Repulpable adhesives

A splicing tape and a method of using such tape to equip a wound roll for flying splice. The tape includes a first and second carrier and two strips of laminating composition disposed between them, each strip joining the first carrier to the second carrier. The carriers have a first and a second layer of pressure-sensitive, laminating composition and a first and a second layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive. The strips of laminating composition are disposed such that they are not in direct contact with one another. They form a predetermined breakage point. The splicing tape is adhered to the roll such that part of the first layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive forms a first bonding area, the end region of the uppermost ply of the wound roll, and the second layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive forms a second bonding area to the roll, which is located partly below the first bonding area.

An adhesive tape for flying splice, having a left and right boundary edge, at least one main carrier and a first layer of self-adhesive on the obverse of the main carrier, the reverse of the main carrier bearing a parting system suitable for effecting an adhesive bond to a substrate that can be parted again in such a way that sticky residues are left neither on the reverse of the main carrier nor on the substrate in the region of the parted bond, the parting system being constructed in the form of a multiply interrupted stripe having a plurality of segments that extends in the longitudinal direction of the adhesive tape, the individual segments having less of an extent in the longitudinal direction of the adhesive tape than the adhesive tape itself, and the parting system being suitable for effecting the parting process without the main carrier being damaged.
