In one example, an apparatus for filtering a fluid (e.g., a plastic melt having impurities) includes a housing which has at least one inlet for introduction of the fluid and an outlet for delivery of the fluid and a cavity formed in the housing by wall portions of the housing for receiving a sieve support, and a sieve support which is arranged moveably in the cavity of the housing and has a longitudinal axis for receiving at least one filter element for filtering the fluid. The sieve support externally has a plurality of integrally formed raised portions and/or raised portions and/or recesses are formed at wall portions of the housing, that delimit the cavity, such that provided between the wall portion and the sieve support are a plurality of gaps/cavities, by means of which a slight fluid flow is enabled in operation. A valve having a valve housing and a shut-off element, the valve housing having a cavity for receiving the shut-off element, at least one inlet opening for a fluid to flow into the cavity and at least three outlet openings for the fluid to flow out of the cavity, the shut-off element having a guide body and being arranged in a movable manner at least partially in the cavity of the valve housing, the shut-off element having at least one shut-off projection for shutting off at least one of the outlet openings.

The invention relates to a filtering device for filtering a fluid, and in particular a liquefied plastic. The filtering device includes a control unit to control the position of a screen carrier by generating control signals such that the fluid pressure in a fluid inlet channel and/or in a fluid outlet channel remains within definable pressure ranges while a cavity is being filled.

Filtering device and method for operating same

A filter element for filtering a fluid comprises a first clamping ring with an outer ring; a first filter disk; a first inner support plate for supporting the first filter disk and which faces to the outside or to an inner flow channel; a second inner support plate provided with recesses; a second filter disk arranged adjacent the second inner support plate; and a second clamping ring which is connected to the first clamping ring by connecting elements. The filter disks and the inner support plates are arranged inside a housing which is formed by the clamping rings, by at least one outer ring and by outer support plates provided with recesses and covering the filter disks on the outside.

Filter element for filtering a fluid and a filter unit formed therefrom

A flow diverter for an extrusion die is disclosed. The flow diverter includes a body having an outer surface, an elongate opening that extends along a first axis, a set of input passages that extend from said outer surface through said body to said elongate opening, and a set of output passages that extend through said body from said elongate opening to said outer surface. The flow diverter also includes an adjustable valve positioned in said elongate opening. The adjustable valve also has a monolithic spool including a first recess and a second recess opposite to said first recess. The spool is rotatable with respect to said outer body between a first position in a first flow configuration, and a second position in a second, different flow configuration.

Flow diverter valve for an extrusion system

The invention provides an extrusion device having an adjustment valve that is rotatable between first and second operative positions. The extrusion device is configured to produce a first layer arrangement when the adjustment valve is in the first operative position and to produce a second layer arrangement when the adjustment valve is in the second operative position. Also provided are methods of using an extrusion device to produce different layer arrangements.

Extrusion device and method of use

A filtering device () for highly viscous media comprises at least one screen plug () which is movably arranged in a screen plug bore () of a housing () and which has at least one screen cavity (), a filter element () lying in said screen cavity. The screen cavity () narrows to a funnel section () in a rear region when viewed in the flow direction, said funnel section opening into at least one screen plug outlet channel that opens upstream of the housing outlet channel () in the production position. According to the invention, the screen plug outlet channel comprises an inlet zone (), at least one deflecting point (), and an outlet zone (). Filtering device for highly viscous media

The invention relates to a dirt precipitator () for a highly viscous medium, having a housing comprising a front housing element (') that comprises at least one inlet channel () and a rear housing element () that comprises at least one outlet channel (), and having a screen wheel (&#x2032;) rotatably mounted between the housing elements (&#x2032;) having a number n of screen positions disposed in a ring zone, on each of which at least one screen opening () having at least one screen insert element is provided. The inlet channel (), the outlet channel (), and the screen opening () are disposed flush one after the other in at least one working position and form a flow channel. In all positions of the screen wheel (&#x2032;), more than 50% of the screen openings () are always able to be permeated, and are impinged by flow from at least one inlet channel and from which at least one outlet channel leads.

Dirt precipitator for a highly viscous medium

The invention relates to a filtering device () comprising: a filter support element () which is movably mounted in the housing (), which has the shape of a cylindrical bolt, and which has multiple filter chambers (), a filtering element being arranged in each said filter chamber; and an inlet channel () and an outlet channel () in the housing (), wherein the inlet channel and the outlet channel are each to be connected to at least one filter chamber in a production position. The aim of the invention is to increase the effective filtering surface. This is achieved in that at least two pairs of filter chambers are provided on the filter support element. The filter chambers of each pair are arranged on the filter support element in a diametrically opposed manner, and there are no connections between the filter chambers within the filter support element. At least one respective intermediate channel () that extends in the direction of the longitudinal axis () of the filter support element () is provided between the outlet channels in the housing and the filter chambers. Intermediate channels of different lengths are provided for each pair of filter chambers.

Filtering device for fluids

The invention relates to a screen carrier element () for a filtration device comprising at least one screen cavity () for arranging at least one filter unit () therein, a support tube () having cut-outs () and a plurality of disk filter elements (), each having a central hub () with which they are mounted on the support tube (). A semi-permeable filter medium () surrounds the hub and is spread out to form a three-dimensional structure. At least one flow channel () extends in the hub element () from the main body enveloped by the filter medium () to the support tube (), wherein the support tube () leads into an outlet channel () of the screen carrier element (). The support tube () comprises a bearing section () protruding from beneath the disk filter elements, and said bearing section can be inserted into the outlet channel () from the screen cavity (). The outlet channel () is designed as a tapered bore over at least a part of the length thereof, which opens toward the screen cavity (). At the same time, the bearing section of the support tube () has at least one tapered section () which engages with the tapered bore.

Screen carrier element for a filtration device having at least one screen cavity

The invention relates to a device for filtering a fluid, especially a liquefied plastic, said device comprising a housing, a supply channel, a discharge channel and optionally backwash channels. At least two filter elements are arranged in corresponding filter regions in the flow path of the fluid, in a filter carrier which is mounted in such a way that in can be perpendicularly displaced in relation to the direction of flow, said filter elements being able to communication with the supply channel and the discharge channel. Each filter region comprises two supply partial channels which are worked in to the filter carrier or the housing and are oriented away from the filter regions towards the discharge channel. Said discharge channel comprises housing partial channels which flow together to form the discharge channel. The supply channels can communication with the housing partial channels by displacing the filter carrier in such a way as to guide the fluid, and optionally the filter regions can be connected to the backflow channels by displacing the filter carrier.
