An injection device comprising: a housing arranged to contain a liquid medicament or a medicament cartridge; an electrical coil arranged around an inner surface or an outer surface of the housing; an electricity storage apparatus electrically connected to the electrical coil; and a magnet arranged to be movable axially within a defined space with respect to the electrical coil, such that electrical voltage is induced in the electrical coil and a current is generated to charge the electricity storage apparatus.

Injection device

The present disclosure relates to a drug delivery device that has a housing and a cap. The drug delivery device also has a lock that prevents the cap being fully replaced on the housing after the cap has been removed.

This application relates to force reduction in injection devices. According to a first aspect, the specification describes an injection device comprising: a medicament container; a stopper translatably disposed within the medicament container; a plunger rod, the plunger rod comprising a plunger head; a drive mechanism for displacing the plunger rod into the medicament container; and a force reduction feature, wherein the plunger rod is operable to displace the stopper; and wherein the force reduction feature is arranged to damp at least a part of a plunger rod motion when the plunger rod is driven by the drive mechanism.

Force reduction in injection devices

The present disclosure relates to a cap for an injection device. The injection device comprises a body for holding a syringe having a needle extending from an end thereof. The cap is removably attachable to the body. The cap comprises an actuator and a needle shield to cover said needle. The cap further comprises a coupling between the actuator and the needle shield. The coupling is configured such that when the cap is attached to the body of the injection device axial movement of the actuator away from the body causes rotation of the needle shield relative to the body.

Cap for an injection device

The present disclosure relates to a needle arrangement for a drug delivery device. The needle arrangement includes a distal needle tip and a proximal needle tip. The distal needle tip is held in a distal needle holder and wherein the proximal needle tip is held in a proximal needle holder. The distal needle tip and the proximal needle tip are in fluid communication with each other through a fluid channel. The fluid channel is adapted to allow axial movement of the distal needle tip and relative to the proximal needle tip between a compact state and an extended state. A length of the needle arrangement over the distal needle tip and the proximal needle tip in the extended state is greater than in the compact state.

Needle arrangement

An auto-injector device comprises a stopper for expelling a medicament out of a medicament reservoir; a driving element which has a first configuration and a second configuration and is configured to change shape from the first configuration to the second configuration when the temperature of the driving element is raised above a shape change temperature, so as to drive the stopper of the syringe mechanism through the medicament reservoir; and a heating mechanism configured to actively heat the driving element. The heating mechanism is a chemical heating element configured to generate heat through an exothermic process or comprises a fluid reservoir for retaining a fluid; a heater configured to heat the fluid in the fluid reservoir; a pump configured to expel the fluid out of the fluid reservoir; and a connecting conduit arranged to carry the fluid from the fluid reservoir to the driving element.

Auto-injector device

A system for supporting on the use of an injection device includes a display and a processor configured to determine the injection device, to obtain data on use of the determined injection device and to add at least one overlay on the display, wherein the at least one overlay is generated depending on the obtained data on use of the determined injection device. The processor is configured to adapt the at least one overlay depending on a context of application of the injection device, the context of application of the injection device including at least one of the following: ambient light; time; date; temperature; use history of the injection device; drug; injection site; dosage.

System and method for supporting on the use of an injection device

The invention relates to a drug delivery device comprising: a syringe with a body from which a needle extends and an inner sheath; a piston rod comprising a piston and an actuation head, a support sheath for holding the body. It is envisaged that the support sheath and the actuation head comprise corresponding indicators.

Drug delivery device

The present disclosure relates to an injection device. The injection device comprises a body for holding a syringe having a needle extending from one end thereof and a cap that is removably attached to the body. The cap has a needle shield to cover said needle. The injection device further comprises a biasing member and a lock. The biasing member is configured to urge at least a part of the cap away from the body. The lock is moveable between a locked state, wherein the lock holds the cap and body together, and an unlocked state, wherein the cap and body are able to move apart.

An injection device comprising: a housing arranged to contain a syringe with a piston for sealing the syringe and displacing the medicament, the housing having a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the distal end is intended to be applied against an injection site; a driving mechanism arranged between the piston and the proximal end of the housing; and a locking mechanism comprising a plate member arranged between the driving mechanism and the piston to retain the driving mechanism to retain the driving mechanism in an initial inactive state in which the driving mechanism cannot be actuated; wherein when the locking mechanism is released, the driving mechanism can be actuated to push the piston towards the distal end of the housing to displace the medicament.

The present disclosure relates to an injection device. The injection device comprises a body for holding a syringe that has a needle at one end and a cap that is removably attached to the body. The cap has a needle shield to cover said needle. The injection device further comprises a gear assembly comprising a first rotary gear and a first linear gear to engage with the first rotary gear. The gear assembly is configured such that rotation of the first rotary gear drives the first linear gear to urge the needle shield away from the body. An actuator is provided that is configured to rotate the first rotary gear.

A supplementary device is configured to be attached to a drug delivery device. The supplementary device comprises a non-contact sensor configured to output signals indicative of the position of a moveable component within the drug delivery device. The supplementary device further comprises a processor configured to receive the signals output from the non-contact sensor. This processor is additionally configured to determine, based on the signals, whether the drug delivery device is in a pre-activation state or a post-activation state.

An auto-injector device comprises a cap removal mechanism which comprises a retractable component which is slidably mounted within a housing of the device, and a cap-removal actuator to push the retractable component out of the housing to remove a cap from the device; a dispense mechanism which comprises a driving element to expel a medicament from the device; and a dispense button which activates the cap removal mechanism when pressed a first time, engages with the dispense mechanism when released, and activates the dispense mechanism when pressed a second time. The dispense mechanism comprises an engaging element configured to engage with the dispense button when the dispense button has been pressed for a first time and released.
