A printing assembly has print heads, by the use of which, application locations for printing fluid are specified. A transport path through the printing assembly, and provided for print stock, is specified by at least two guide elements. One printing section of the transport path begins at a first application location and ends at a last application location. The application locations are arranged on that transport path having specifying guide elements, each having a pivot angle, and pivoting, in a pivoting manner, about at least one pivot axis, common thereto, which pivot angle equals at least 10&#xb0;. A main conveying direction is specified by a linear connection between a first guide element based on the print section and a last guide element based on the print section. The main conveying direction is arranged, having guide elements arranged in the maintenance position thereof, under an angle of 30&#xb0;, at maximum, to a vertical direction. The invention further is directed to a method for operating a printing assembly.

Printing assembly

The invention relates to a printing assembly which has print heads, each of which specifies application positions for printing fluid. A transport path is provided for the printing substrate through the printing assembly and is defined by at least two guide elements of the printing assembly. A printing section of the transport path begins at a first application position and ends at a last application position. At least one of the guide elements is in contact with a total of at least two lateral support elements and with at least one inner support element at three points that are spaced from one another in a transverse direction, the position of that guide element being thereby defined. The inner support element is arranged such that it is or can be rigidly connected to at least one of the lateral support elements. The lateral support elements can be embodied as part of a support frame, which support frame has at least one cross-member that is different from the guide elements, that at least one cross-member extending in the transverse direction and ensuring a constant relative positioning of the lateral support elements.

A printing press has a printing unit with a print head, which is configured as an ink jet printing head, and a printing material guiding element which can be rotated about a respective rotational axis. The print can be moved along an actuating path in an actuating direction. The actuating direction has a component which is oriented orthogonally to an axial defined by the rotational axis of the printing material guiding element. A threading assembly, for threading in a printing material web along a threading path, is arranged within the printing unit. Parts of the threading path are spaced at least two centimeters from the axial direction in relation to every target region of every nozzle of every printing head of the printing unit. A method for threading a printing material web into the printing unit utilizes the threading assembly.

A printing machine has a printing unit which has a printing-material conducting element that can be rotated about an axis of rotation defining an axial direction and at least four printing heads. Four positioning devices are arranged, by the use of each of which, at least one printing head can be arranged at least either in a respective printing position associated with the printing head or in a respective idle position associated with a printing head. At least one first printing head of the printing heads can be arranged either in a first printing position associated with that first printing head or in a first idle position associated with that first printing head. At least one second printing head of the printing heads can be arranged at least either in a second printing position associated with that second printing head or in a second idle position associated with that second printing head. Each respective idle position is configured as a respective maintenance position, in which a maintenance device configured as a cleaning device is or can be associated with at least one nozzle of the respective printing head. The maintenance device is arranged in such a way that the maintenance device can be moved along a provision path at least partially orthogonally to the axial direction.

Printing machine

The invention relates to a printing machine having at least one printer unit comprising at least one inkjet printhead, a central printing cylinder, and a drive motor of its own dedicated to the central printing cylinder. A conveying path of a printing material web through the printing machine has at least one first section and one second section, each defined by contact points of the printing material, which have motor-powered rotation bodies. At least the first section has a dedicated first measuring device for measuring a web tension of the printing material web in the first section. At least the second section has a dedicated second measuring device for measuring the web tension of the printing material web in the second section. A machine controller is arranged, by means of which the web tension in at least the first section and/or in the second section of the conveying path of the printing material web can be adjusted and/or is adjusted, taking into consideration at least both a measuring result from the first measuring device and a measuring result from the second measuring device. The invention further relates to a method for adjusting a web tension of a printing material web.

Printing machine and method for adjusting a web tension

The invention relates to a printing machine, wherein the printing machine has at least one first printing unit and at least one first dryer, wherein the at least one first printing unit has at least one inkjet print head, at least one first central cylinder, and an integral first drive motor dedicated to the at least one first central cylinder, and wherein the at least one first dryer is embodied as a radiation dryer, and wherein the at least one first dryer has at least one ventilating device, which has at least one air infeed line and at least one air removal line, and wherein at least one first cooling unit is arranged downstream of the at least one first dryer along a transport path of a printing material through the printing machine.

A product section is produced in a printing machine that has at least one former. A web or a partial web of material is guided over the former. At least one web or one partial web is initially guided over a plow fold device and then over one, or another odd number of turning bars. This at least one web or partial web is then united, without passing through the former, and on a side that has been folded in by the plow fold device, over at least one guide roller as a partial strand with a partial strand that was guided over the former as a strand bundle before this partial strand is cut transversely in a transverse cutting direction into product sections.

At least one unit of a web-machinery, or a web-processing machine is pre-adjusted in a method which influences a longitudinal register. An adjustment value is derived for that at least one unit based on previously-obtained data. The adjustment value is stored in a machine control unit.

A sheet combining device includes at least one former, at least one longitudinal cutter, and at least two partial web guide routes. A respective partial sheet of partial cut webs can be conveyed on each of the at least two partial web guide routes. These sheets can be combined to form a principal sheet at an exit of the sheet combining device. A stapler is provided on one of the at least two partial web guide routes and is used to staple the partial sheet which is conveyed on that guide route.

A device for providing folded products utilizes a funnel-shaped structure that consists of at least two funnels that are usable for providing two longitudinally folded strands or webs. A register device is usable for adjusting a path of at least one of the strands or webs between the funnel and the entrance to a folding machine. The register device can be associated with both of the strands or webs.
