A method is for determining orthogonal slice image data sets of a tomosynthesis recording of an examination region. In an embodiment, the method includes recording a tomosynthesis recording and reconstructing a plurality of first slice image data sets in a first plane based upon the tomosynthesis recording; selecting a first slice image data set from the plurality of first slice image data sets; marking a microcalcification or a region of interest with a punctiform marking in the first slice image data set selected; and determining, from a second slice image data set in a second plane orthogonal to the first plane, and from a third slice image data set in a third plane orthogonal to the first plane and the second plane, wherein a point of intersection of the first plane, the second plane and the third plane includes the punctiform marking.

Method for determining orthogonal slice image data sets of a tomosynthesis recording

A method for visualizing a region of interest inside an examination object into which an examination instrument has been introduced, and a tomosynthesis system for executing the method. Raw datasets are acquired from a number of lateral acquisition angles. A number of synthetic projections are calculated from the raw datasets. The synthetic projections are output in the form of an image sequence which represents the examination object in a rotating visualization. An image reconstruction device and a tomosynthesis system, as well as a computer program product and a computer-readable medium are described.

With a screen-filter-mirror unit installed in a sandwich architecture, an x-ray window on a patient or an object can also be visualized during an x-ray recording with a light window. It is advantageous that a screen, a filter and a light window unit are combined in just one unit and with a changing x-ray window only the unit is replaced and/or the attack angle of the unit and the alignment of a light source directed hereto can be attuned to one another.
