The present invention relates to a device for determining a weight of a vehicle, the device being configured to: obtain a set of weights derived from in-motion weighing of the vehicle on a weighing bridge, wherein each weight in the set of weights represents one or more axle weights of the vehicle; select one or more weights in the set of weights such that the one or more selected weights together represent all axles of the vehicle and each axle of the vehicle is only represented once; determine a total weight of the vehicle based on the one or more selected weights. Furthermore, the invention also relates to a system and corresponding methods.

An electrical switching device includes: a main contact arrangement including a fixed contact and a movable contact, a plurality of splitter plates, each having a loop structure, the splitter plates being coaxially stacked with respect to their loop structure to form a stack, wherein one splitter plate is a first outermost plate and another splitter plate is a second outermost plate, a first arc runner electrically connected to the second outermost plate and a second arc runner electrically connected to the first outermost plate, the first and second arc runners being configured to direct a main arc from the main contact arrangement to the stack to thereby split the main arc into a plurality of secondary arcs between the splitter plates, and a first drive coil electrically connected to the second arc runner and to the movable contact or to the first arc runner and to the fixed contact.

An electrical DC switching system for extinguishing an electric arc, wherein the electrical DC switching system includes: a main contact arrangement having a first contact and a second contact, the main contact arrangement being operable between a closed position and an open position, a plurality of serial contacts connected in series with each other and connected in parallel with the main contact arrangement, each serial contact being operable between a closed position and an open position, wherein in a current breaking operation the main contact arrangement is configured to be set in the open position before the plurality of serial contacts are configured to be set in their open positions, and a current injection circuit including a resonance circuit configured to be connected across the serial contacts, and a first switch configured to be switched between an open state and a closed state and configured to be connected to the resonance circuit and to the serial contacts, wherein the first switch is configured to be set in the closed state when the serial contacts are in their open positions to enable an injection current to flow through the resonance circuit and into the serial contacts in a first flow direction which is opposite to a flow direction of an arc current flowing through the serial contacts.

An electrical DC switching system for extinguishing an electric arc, wherein the electrical DC switching system includes: a contact arrangement having a first contact and a second contact, a current injection circuit including a resonance circuit configured to be connected across the contact arrangement, and a first switch connected to the resonance circuit and to the first contact, wherein the first switch is configured to be switched between an open state and a closed state, wherein in the closed state the first switch is configured to enable an injection current to flow through the resonance circuit in a first flow direction and into the contact arrangement in a direction opposite to a flow direction of a contact arrangement arc current, and an arc chute assembly including a plurality of splitter plates configured to extinguish an electric arc across the first contact and the second contact, wherein each splitter plate of the plurality of splitter plates has a layered configuration including a magnetic layer and two non-magnetic layers.

An electrical switchgear for fast limitation and interruption of fault currents includes a fixed electrode, a movable electrode having a contact portion and a repelling portion, a plurality of contact fingers, and a coil. The coil is arranged adjacent to the repelling portion to induce eddy currents therein, the coil and the fixed electrode being arranged on the same side of the movable electrode, and the repelling portion being movable relative to the coil. The coil has a first dimension between two of its opposite lateral ends and defines an area which corresponds to a majority of a surface area of the repelling portion. The repelling portion provides a continuous current path, having a dimension corresponding to the first dimension, for eddy currents induced by the coil, whereby the movable electrode is pivotally thrown in a direction away from the coil and the fixed electrode, thus providing a circuit trip.

High speed limiting electrical switchgear device

A drive system is disclosed for operating an electric device. The drive system includes an electric motor having a permanent magnet rotor connectable to the electric device for controlling the operation of it by a limited-angle rotation, the electric motor further including a stator winding. The drive system includes a drive circuit connected to the stator winding. The permanent magnet rotor can be arranged to be aligned to a magnetic field created by the stator winding when supplied with current from the drive circuit, so that a maximum torque can be applied to the rotor and thereby to the movable part within an interval of &#xb1;25 degrees around a middle position between two end positions of the limited-angle rotation of the rotor.

Drive system for operating an electric device

An electromagnetic trip device for a circuit breaker is provided. The electromagnetic trip device includes a current path having a conductor guiding an electric current through at least one contact point formed between a fixed and at least one movable contact piece. A contact lever carries the at least one movable contact piece. The contact lever is mounted to be movable between a closed contact position and an open contact position. The electromagnetic trip device also includes a magnetic circuit with an air-gap. The movable contact lever is at least partially located in the air-gap. The electric current flows through the contact lever in a direction substantially perpendicular to the orientation of magnetic flux in the air-gap.

Exemplary embodiments are directed to an electrical overcurrent tripping device for a circuit breaker. The tripping device includes an actuating member which in case of an overcurrent is driven to interact directly or indirectly with a movable contact piece of the circuit breaker to open a contact point in the circuit breaker if the overcurrent is exceeding a preset tripping threshold for a predetermined tripping delay time. The actuating member is coupled to a magnetic circuit such that the driving force acting on the actuating member is created by the magnetic field of the magnetic circuit, said magnetic field being induced by the overcurrent. The actuating member is coupled to an electromagnetic damping arrangement to set the tripping delay time, and is connected to a coupling spring configured to adjust the overcurrent tripping threshold.
