A user station for a serial bus system and a method for communication in a serial bus system. The user station includes an application for carrying out a task, a transceiver unit for serially receiving a message in the form of a frame from a bus of the bus system, via which user stations of the bus system exchange messages with one another, and a filter module for filtering the received frame. The filter module for filtering is designed to check at least two segments of the frame separately to determine whether or not the received frame is to be passed on to the application.

A subscriber station for a bus system and a method for time-optimized data transmission in a bus system are provided. The subscriber station comprises a coding device for coding and/or decoding bits of a message to/from at least one further subscriber station of the bus system, in which at least temporarily an exclusive, collision-free access of a subscriber station to a bus line of the bus system is ensured, wherein the coding device is designed to allocate, during the coding of the message, to at least two bits as bit combination, a predetermined voltage level for a bit time and/or wherein the coding device is designed to allocate, during the decoding of the message, at least two bits as bit combination to a predetermined voltage level for a bit time.

Subscriber station for a bus system and method for time-optimized data transmission in a bus system

A transmission unit for connection to a first bus system, the transmission unit receiving messages via the first bus system, the messages being constructed as a succession of a first bit sequence, of at least one control signal and of a second bit sequence, the first bit sequence of a received message being forwarded by the transmission unit to a processing station, at least one predefined control signal of the received message being checked by the transmission unit, the second bit sequence of the received message being forwarded by the transmission unit to the processing station if the predefined signal of the received message has a predefined value, instead of the second bit sequence, the transmission unit sending a predefined or predefinable terminating bit sequence to the processing station, if the predefined control signal of the received message has a value that deviates from the predefined value.

Transmission unit with checking function

A bus interface unit for exchanging data via a bus system includes at least one bus control unit for connection to the bus system, having a control unit that is configured to output data received via the bus control unit from the bus system, and/or data derived therefrom, to an external unit, and/or to output data obtained from an external unit, and/or data derived therefrom, via the bus control unit to the bus system.
