A packaging film suitable for an outer packaging composed of an optionally release-capable, upstretched, at least monolaminar polyolefin film comprising a) a layer (a) based on a mixture of &#x3b1;) 20-49% by weight of a polypropylene or of at least one propylene copolymer, or combination thereof, and of &#x3b2;) 80-51% by weight of at least one polyethylene or ethylene copolymer, and optionally &#x3b3;) customary auxiliaries, with a layer thickness of &#x2264;20 &#x3bc;m, on at least one surface of the layer (a) a release coating (b) composed of cured polysiloxane, wherein the tensile strength of the polyolefin film in machine direction is at least 6.5 N/cm, measured according to DIN EN ISO 527-3, and outer packagings produced therefrom.

Packaging film

A wrapper that opens relatively quietly and wraps a sheetlike hygiene product provided on one side with an adhesive, said wrapper being based on a packaging material in web form and composed of a polymeric film comprising a) at least one heat-sealable layer based on a mixture of at least one Cor Colefin homopolymer or copolymer and not more than 30% by weight, based on the total weight of the layer a), of polybutylene and b) optionally a layer of polyethylene having a density of 0.88-0.94 g/cm; the layer a), at least in those sections which face the regions of the hygiene product that are provided with the adhesive, has a release coating, and otherwise, at least in the sub-regions which are joined to form edge closures in the form of stripes or lines, has no release coating.

Quiet-opening wrapper

The present invention relates to a predominantly biodegradable double-separating film and comprising at least one carrier layer (a) that is based on at least one biodegradable polymer, and at least one release layer (b) that is based on at least one cured polysiloxane. The curing of said release layer is based, at least partially, on at least one cross-linked monomer or oligomer additive. Said additive also promotes adhesion between the carrier layer (a) and the release layer (b), and has no siloxane groups but does have at least two functional groups, of which at least one is a functional group with at least one carbon double bond. No adhesion-promoting layer is present between the carrier layer (a) and the release layer (b). In addition the invention relates to the use of such a separating film as a removable protection and cover film.
