A system including a power tool and an energy supply device, wherein the power tool can be detachably connected to the energy supply device via an interface. The interface has a base material with a first density and is designed in such a way that the interface allows a relative movement of the power tool and the energy supply device in an insertion direction and prevents a relative movement between the power tool and the energy supply device in the other spatial directions. The energy supply device has a first contact region with a first contact material and the power tool has a second contact region with a second contact material, wherein the first contact material and/or the second contact material have a second density, wherein the second density is greater than the first density of the base material of the interface. An energy supply device, and to a corresponding interface is also provided.

A method for operating a machine tool having a battery and an electric motor which is designed to rotationally drive an output shaft that can be coupled to a tool is described, a control device for actuating the electric motor and a device for determining a parameter being provided, it being possible for the machine tool to be operated in a first operating mode and a second operating mode, and the control device transferring the machine tool from the first operating mode into the second operating mode if the parameter determined by the device exceeds or falls below a defined threshold value. The electric motor () is controlled in the second operating mode by an amperage profile comprising current pulses (), a level a maximum amperage (A, A', A) of the current pulses () being varied depending on an actual charge status of the battery (). A machine tool that can be operated using a method of this kind is also described.

A method for operating a machine tool having a battery and an electric motor which is designed to rotationally drive an output shaft that can be coupled to a tool, is described, a control device for actuating the electric motor and a device for determining a parameter being provided. The machine tool can be operated in a first operating mode and a second operating mode, the machine tool being transferred from the first operating mode into the second operating mode if the parameter determined by the device exceeds or falls below a defined threshold value. In the second operating mode, the electric motor is controlled by an amperage profile, the amperage profile comprising first current pulses () and second current pulses (). The level of a maximum amperage (A) of the first current pulses () is greater than the level of a maximum amperage (A) of the second current pulses (). A power tool for chiseling and drilling includes a housing, a motor disposed inside the housing, and a pneumatic percussion mechanism. An operation mode selector switch is disposed on the housing and has a first operation mode setting and a second operation mode setting where the first operation mode setting activates the pneumatic percussion mechanism and the second operation mode setting deactivates the pneumatic percussion mechanism. A valve has an inlet-port formed inside the guiding tube and an outlet-port formed outside the guiding tube where the valve is connected to the operation mode selector switch. The valve is closed in the first operation mode setting which disables an air exchange between the inlet-port and the outlet-port and the valve is open in the second operation mode setting which enables the air exchange between the inlet-port and the outlet-port.

A shock absorbing device for a rechargeable battery, in particular for supplying a machine tool with electrical energy, wherein the rechargeable battery includes a housing for accommodating at least one energy storage cell. The shock absorbing device includes at least one shock absorbing element for absorbing shock energy exerted on the housing of the rechargeable battery.

A percussion mechanism contains a guide tube, an exciter piston, a hammer, a pneumatic chamber for coupling the hammer to the motion of the exciter piston, a striker, and a seat for the striker. The hammer has a striking point, defined by a striking surface of the striker when the striker lies against the seat. A check valve has an outlet opening and a closing mechanism for closing the check valve against an air flow from the interior of the guide tube. The outlet opening is arranged in such a way that the outlet opening is closed by the hammer during striking operation and otherwise is open.

The handheld power tool has a tool socket to hold a chiseling tool on a working axis and a striking mechanism that acts upon the tool in the striking direction. The striking mechanism is arranged in a machine housing. A handle is oriented along a handle axis that is perpendicular to the working axis and that is installed on the machine housing by three suspension assemblies. The second suspension assembly has a lever arm that runs along the handle axis. The first end of the lever arm is attached to a machine housing and to a handle. A guide is attached to the other machine housing and handle. The second end of the lever arm in the guide can be forcibly deflected against a spring along a trajectory that is slanted or perpendicular to the working axis.

Handheld power tool

A side handle () is provided for a handheld power tool (). The user can grasp the side handle () by a grip element (). A ring-shaped clamp is provided for clamping the side handle () onto the handheld power tool (). The clamp () has two ends () that can be joined. A pre-tensioned spring () presses the joinable ends () against a stop () in order to join them under a force that acts in an effective direction (). A release mechanism () is held in a normal position by the force of the pre-tensioned spring () that acts in the effective direction (). Against the force of the pre-tensioned spring () that acts in the effective direction (), the user can deflect the release mechanism () into a release position in order to cancel the force that presses the joinable ends against the stop.
