A sealing strip is provided for sealing a space between two parts of a machine, for example, a rotary engine. The two parts form a groove for receiving the sealing strip. The sealing strip includes a filler piece, at least one spring element, at least one sealing body and a separating element. The filler piece is divided into two filler piece parts along the longitudinal direction. The filler piece parts are capable of independent longitudinal displacement with respect to one another. A spring element is arranged between the filler piece parts for preloading the filler piece into the groove. Each sealing body is formed in a frame-like shape for surrounding an end of the filler piece. The separating element is arranged between the filler piece parts for separating the filler piece parts and extends longitudinally from an end of the divided filler piece to at least a point where a sealing body surrounds the divided filler piece. The present invention minimizes leakage rate and does not require excessive spring forces.

Sealing strip

Disclosed is a vibration damper with an adjustable damping force and a method of producing the same. The adjustable vibration damper has a container tube to which is connected a shut-off valve arrangement. A damping medium is fed to the shut-off valve arrangement via a high-pressure partial length, an intermediate tube, if required, which is arranged inside the container tube, wherein the container tube and/or the intermediate tube with a cylinder in which a piston slides axially at a piston rod form the high-pressure partial length, and the container tube and/or the cylinder tube has a tube connection piece as a transition of the high-pressure partial length to the shut-off valve arrangement. The tube connection piece in at least one of the tubes forming the transition is constructed as a separate structural component part having a flange which contacts the inner region of the tube and projects through an opening in the tube.

Vibration damper with adjustable damping force

A hydraulic rotary actuator has a housing with at least one rib on its inside wall and a motor shaft with at least one vane on its outside shell surface, whereby the housing with its ribs and the motor shaft with its vanes form a working chamber which is closed off on the ends by means of a cap. A gasket is located between the motor shaft and a component of the housing to seal the working chamber off from the environment. The gasket and housing component can preferably form a latching mechanism therebetween to retain the gasket in position during assembly of the rotary actuator.

Hydraulic rotary actuator such as a rotary actuator for a motor vehicle

A dual-circuit hydraulic system for an active vehicle suspension control system to eliminate a rolling movement of a motor vehicle by using an adjustable stabilizer on a motor vehicle front axle and an adjustable stabilizer on a motor vehicle rear axle. The dual-circuit hydraulic system has at least one supply pump which uses at least one shuttle valve to supply a pressure medium, by way of supply lines, to at least one dual action actuator on each stabilizer. Each dual action actuator has at least two working chambers. In emergency operation of the shuttle valve, the working chambers of the at least one actuator on the rear axle are unblocked, so that in the event of a rolling movement of the vehicle, the pressure medium is transferred by being pushed out of the working chambers of the rear axle actuator by the action of the rolling movement of the vehicle on the rear axle stabilizer.

Dual-circuit hydraulic system for an active vehicle suspension control

Rotary actuator for a divided stabilizer on a motor vehicle axle, comprising a cylinder which is closed on the ends by two caps and forms a work chamber, ribs which run axially on the inside diameter of the cylinder, a motor shaft with splines which have the same axial length as the ribs of the cylinder, whereby the splines of the motor shaft and the ribs of the cylinder divide the work chamber into individual work chambers, a first and a second hydraulic connection for two separate work chambers, a connection system between the work chambers which hydraulically connects the work chambers at least in pairs, whereby the connected work chambers are arranged so that the work chambers corresponding to the first hydraulic connection alternate with those which are connected to the second hydraulic connection, and connection surfaces on the cylinder and on the motor shaft for the stabilizer parts, whereby the motor shaft has a blind hole with a profile to locate one of the stabilizer parts.

Rotary actuator

A rotary actuator has a cylinder and a motor shaft as well as end caps which define a working area. A number of ribs extend from the inside wall surface of the cylinder and an equal number of vanes extend from the outside shell surface of the motor shaft. The ribs and vanes divide the working area into working chambers which are alternately supplied with hydraulic medium. Seals are disposed in grooves in the ribs and the vanes, which seals are braced between the inside wall surface of the cylinder or the outside shell surface of the motor shaft and the respective groove base, so that the seals hydraulically separate the working chambers from one another. The outside shell surface of the motor shaft and the inside wall surface of the cylinder are designed with recesses, so that the prestress on the seals is neutralized in at least one installation position of the motor shaft. The rotary actuator can be used in a stabilizer bar of a motor vehicle suspension system. The recesses make assembly of the actuator conducive to a method of mass production.

The rotary actuator housing has hydraulic connections for hydraulic lines which form a flow connection to a hydraulic system. The two stabilizer parts can be rotated with respect to one another by the rotary actuator. The segments of the hydraulic lines which are connected to the rotary actuator, and are subject to possible deformation, are located in a plane which lies essentially perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the rotary actuator.

A rotary actuator for a divided stabilizer on a vehicle axle is taught. The rotary actuator has a cylinder, the ends of which are closed to form a working space. Ribs run axially on the inside diameter of the cylinder. In addition, vanes from a motor shaft have the same axial extension within the cylinder as the ribs of the cylinder. The vanes of the motor shaft and the ribs of the cylinder divide the working space into individual work chambers. The rotary actuator can also have a first and a second hydraulic connection for two separate work chambers, with an additional hydraulic connection system between at least pairs of work chambers. The orientation of the connected work chambers is such that the work chambers corresponding to the first hydraulic connection alternate with those which are connected to the second hydraulic connection. A first cap can be provided to close the end of the working chamber, and this cap can be fixed in place on the rotary actuator by means of a deformation connection to the cylinder.

A stabilizer system with a rotary actuator has a first stabilizer part which is non-rotationally connected to a rotary actuator vane assembly. A second stabilizer part is non-rotationally connected to a rotary actuator housing. The rotary actuator housing has hydraulic connections for hydraulic lines which form a flow connection to a hydraulic system, whereby the two stabilizer parts can be rotated with respect to one another by way of the rotary actuator. The segments of the hydraulic lines which are connected to the rotary actuator and are subject to possible deformation are located in a plane which lies essentially perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the rotary actuator. A line fastener can be optionally fastened to the rotary actuator housing or to the stabilizer part which is stationary relative to the rotary actuator housing. The line fastener divides the hydraulic lines, by way of a mounting, into a stationary line segment and a movable line segment, whereby the movable line segment is oriented in a plane which is essentially perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the rotary actuator.

A double tube vibration damper comprises a pressure tube and a container tube. Two working chambers are defined by the piston within the pressure tube. A compensation space is provided between the pressure tube and the container tube. The pressure tube extends axially between a bottom wall of the container tube and a piston rod guide secured to the container tube. A spring is in series with the pressure tube between the bottom wall and the piston rod guide. This spring compensates for different length variations of the pressure tube and the container tube. This spring is always under compressional stress throughout the operational range of temperature.
