The invention relates to a bearing arrangement including a backup bearing (), which is provided as a safety device in addition to a main bearing. A joint () is formed between an outer ring () of the backup bearing () and a housing () surrounding same.

The invention relates to a bearing assembly having a back-up bearing (), which has an outer ring () arranged in a housing construction () in a flexible manner. The flexibility has angle-dependent extreme values, namely at least one minimum and at least one maximum. According to the invention, this bearing assembly is characterized in that, within 360&#xb0; with respect to the circumference of the outer ring (), there are more than two angles at which there is at least one local extreme value of the flexibility of the outer ring ().

A bearing element for two spatial directions, including a series of first rolling bodies (), which roll on a first side () of an intermediate part () in a first direction, and a series of second rolling bodies (), which roll on a second side () of the intermediate part and on a fastening part () in a second direction that differs to the first direction, the fastening part having a shaft (), and a spring element () being arranged around the shaft. This bearing element addresses the problem of providing a bearing element for two spatial directions, which can absorb great forces perpendicularly to the two spatial directions and which is of compact design.
