A hydraulic unit of a pump for pumping liquid comprising solid matter, the hydraulic unit comprising a housing and an impeller seat, the housing having an axial inlet opening and an outlet opening, and the impeller seat having an axial inlet defined by an inlet wall. The impeller seat has an inlet radius (R) measured from an axially extending centre axis (A) to a circular intersection between the inlet wall and the upper surface of the impeller seat, and the impeller seat comprises a guide pin connected to and extending radially inwards from the inlet wall. The guide pin has a tip radius (r) measured from an axially extending centre axis (A) to the radially innermost part of the guide pin, and has a guide pin angle (μ) defined between a cut water line of a cut water and a radius of the impeller seat.

Pump and hydraulic unit of a pump

An impeller seat for a pump, the impeller seat comprising an inlet wall, an inlet radius, a guide pin connected to and extending radially inwards from the inlet wall. The guide pin includes a tip radius. A 15%-circle is offset radially inwards from a circular intersection fifteen percent of the difference between the inlet radius and the tip radius. An 85%-circle is offset radially inwards from the circular intersection eighty-five percent of the difference between the inlet radius and the tip radius. A trailing edge line is between the intersection between the 15%-circle and a trailing edge of the guide pin and the intersection between the 85%-circle and the trailing edge of the guide pin. The trailing edge line is in a range equal to or more than 10 degrees and equal to or less than 30 degrees.

An impeller assembly and a pump for pumping a liquid, including a pump chamber and an impeller arranged to rotate in the pump chamber, the impeller being suspended in a lower end of an axially extending drive shaft unit, wherein the lower end of the drive shaft unit is received in a cylinder-shaped recess of the impeller, wherein the impeller is displaceable back and forth in the axial direction in relation to the drive shaft unit. The impeller further includes an axially extending hole that connects the cylinder-shaped recess and the pump chamber and that the drive shaft unit includes an axially extending pin that projects from the lower end of the drive shaft unit, wherein the pin is arranged in the hole.
