An outlet valve for an ostomy appliance comprises an axle defining a hollow bore for receiving a liquid output from the ostomy appliance. The axle comprises a curved lateral wall. An outlet element comprises a cap arranged concentrically with the axle and an outlet tube affixed to the cap. A valve opening is defined in the curved lateral wall. The cap is rotatable around the axle to move from a closed configuration in which the valve opening is not in liquid communication with the outlet tube to an open configuration in which the valve opening is in liquid communication with the outlet tube. The outlet valve further comprises an outlet element seal configured to provide: sealing between the cap and the axle around a circumference of the axle; and sealing between the valve opening and the intake opening when the outlet element is in the closed configuration.

Outlet valve for an ostomy appliance

A coupling assembly for an ostomy appliance that has a locking arrangement, a first coupling and a second coupling. The locking arrangement has a locking ring and first and second grips mounted to the locking ring. The locking ring is mounted to first and/or second coupling, forms an inner circumference and is adjustable between locked and unlocked configurations. In the locked configuration the locking ring is for maintaining the first and second couplings in a coupled configuration and the inner circumference is less than in the unlocked configuration. The first and second grips are positioned about the locking ring to be moveable towards one another to increase the inner circumference and adjust the locking ring from the locked configuration to the unlocked configuration.

Ostomy appliance coupling assembly

An infusion pump for administering controlled doses of fluid comprises a pump bodyand capattachable to the pump bodyto retain a medicament fluid receptaclein the pump body. The fluid receptacleis connected to a tubefor dispensing the fluid. The tubeis directed through a normally closed valve within the cap. The pump bodycomprises a propulsion device engaging with a piston supportof the fluid receptacle, coupled to a retaining member, a drive system coupled to the retaining member and a rigid member coupled to the drive system. Actuation of the drive system enables the propulsion device to deliver fluid. In addition, the rigid member moveably projects into the cap to open the normally closed valve to allow the passage of fluid.

Infusion pump

An autoinjector includes a case adapted to hold a medicament container, a needle shroud telescopically coupled to the case, and a plunger slidably disposed in the case. The needle shroud is movable between a first extended position, a retracted position, and a second extended position relative to the case. The plunger is movable between a proximal position, an intermediate position, and a distal position relative to the case. When the plunger is in the intermediate position and the needle shroud is in the retracted position, the plunger abuts the case to prevent the needle shroud from returning to the extended position. When the plunger is in the distal position and the needle shroud is in the second extended position, the plunger abuts the case to prevent the needle shroud from returning to the retracted position.

Autoinjector

A coupling assembly according to certain embodiments is configured for use with an ostomy appliance, and generally includes a first coupling, a second coupling, and a clamp arrangement. The second coupling is mounted to the first coupling and surrounds at least a portion of the first coupling. The clamp arrangement is mounted to the second coupling and surrounds at least a portion of the second coupling. The clamp arrangement generally includes a clamp ring and a clamp lock. The clamp ring includes a first end portion, a second end portion, and a continuous body extending between the first end portion and the second end portion. The clamp lock is operable to selectively couple the first end portion with the second end portion to thereby discourage separation of the first coupling from the second coupling.

A wetting device for wetting a catheter. The wetting device has an enclosure bounding the wetting device and enclosing a chamber, the enclosure having at least two wetting device apertures in a surface of the enclosure though which a catheter tube passes. The wetting device also has a port disposed through the enclosure thereof for loading wetting agent into the chamber.

Catheter wetting devices

The present disclosure provides a coupling assembly () for an ostomy appliance () comprising a clamp arrangement (), a first coupling and a second coupling. The clamp arrangement () comprises a clamp ring () mounted to the first and/or second coupling and a clamp locked mounted to the clamp ring (). The clamp ring () comprises an inner circumference () adjustable between clamped and unclamped configurations. In the clamped configuration the clamp ring () is for maintaining the first and second couplings () in a coupled configuration. The clamp lock () is adjustable into a locked configuration to lock the clamp ring () in the clamped configuration. The clamp lock () comprises a clamp actuator () moveable radially relative to the inner circumference () to unlock the clamp lock () from the locked configuration.

A urinary catheter wetting apparatus () has a chamber defined by a forward section () opposite to a rearward section () each having an aperture () of which are axially aligned. A catheter tube is connected to a connector (), the latter of which spans the chamber and initially seals the two apertures. The connector is slideable through the first facial surface () of forward section and the second end wall () of the rearward section so the catheter tube can be drawn through the chamber. A wetting applicator () holding a wetting agent is disposed in the chamber. Upon use, the connector passes through the chamber, applying pressure to the wetting applicator, thereby releasing the wetting agent from the wetting applicator and onto the catheter tube as it follows the connector through the chamber.
